Concerning the question on verse 19, I got this interpretation from the web,
19. Literally, "But it shall
hail with coming down of the
forest, and in lowness shall
the city (Nineveh) be brought
low; that is, humbled."
The "hail" is Jehovah's
wrathful visitation (Isa 30:30
; 28:2, 17). The "forest" is
the Assyrian host, dense as
the trees of a forest (Isa
10:18, 19, 33, 34; Zec 11:2).
20. While the enemy shall be
brought "low," the Jews shall
cultivate their land in
undisturbed prosperity.

Dear All, Peng An,
This was a rare incidence of female spiritual leadership in the history of Israel.
The irony here was that a male general, Mr. Barak, would need the assurance and presence of a female prophetess before he would take the risk to obey Yahweh's command.
In my personal experience, sometimes my wife Jean's faith and love were definitely better than me and help me to go through some tough time in my life.

Dear all, Peng An,
I would agree with your understanding of the meaning between the goat and the sheep. Hopefully this differentiation won't bring into our hearts a discrimination against the goat animal.
Concerning what and how to give to those in need, my perspective would be more complicated. After experiencing so many evil and twisted abuse of other people's love, I would opt for more reasonable and responsible give to help those in need. But that consideration would become an excuse for not giving. So the situation was quite murky here, and we would need God's mercy to help us working this out in our lives.

The one husband one wife started with creation. (Gn 2:18). The first recorded case of polygamy was that of Lamech (Gn 4:19), and he seemed to be boastful to his two wives about his reliance on his violence for survival.
I would agree with your observation, that Abraham gave "all that he had" to his promised heir, Isaac. The so called "all that he had" should be interpreted as what he had received from Yahweh, the promise that his heir would be a blessing to all the world.
I would agree that spiritual blessing is much more important than physical or financial blessing.

我覺得這是一種複雜的感受。與自己親愛的主，平日依人的善行、惡行、賜福、降災的神。而今，卻是用一種不同這個規則的方式行事。而且『…心志已定，誰能使他轉意呢？』。
這似乎是約伯對神的全能，又更深一步的認識，這種恐懼，似乎有種看到超乎想像的power的那種渺小感的恐懼。
想像著約伯當時的領受，恐懼的心也感染了我。神是如此的全能、聖潔、忌邪、全知。而自己的生活，卻常是易怒、挑剔人、不愛人、抱怨、責怪……。而卻還能稱『主啊！主啊！……』。行那些事，就如同經上說的『…必無眼能見我。』……
主啊！主啊！求祢為我造清潔的心，使我裡面重新有正直的靈，好叫我有祢的樣式，行出所當行，成為你聖潔的子民。

那么试问:既然不甘愿为什么"能被"捆绑?
为什么不跑不挣扎? 能背柴上山的孩子,至少也要12-15岁以上吧? 亚伯拉罕一把年纪,以撒要跑,他能拦得住吗? 十几岁的人能傻到自己要被绑架然后烧死,都不能察觉吗? 我5岁就能知道谁要害我,谁要打我了? 以撒就算是"阿甘"也不会不跑啊,再说连"阿甘"都知道逃跑不被子弹打死,以撒难到不晓得?
古代将人火化多是用尸布缠裹身体，没有曝露身体的，当然我们不了解当时的情景。
但不排除用布缠裹以撒啊？
所以我完全相信父子都是义人(因信称义)
所以"不要疑惑，总要相信"！
