For David, the desert was his place of shelter while the city was filled with destructive forces. His enemy brought down suffering upon him so he fled far away from the tempest and storm.
However, it's God that could turn the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs;… (Ps 107:35) There are reasons why David wasn't afraid.
God was merciful to him. (Ps 56:1)
God is trustworthy. (Ps 56: 3-4; 10-11)
In God, whose words he praised. (Ps 56:4)
God can be turned to for help. (Ps 56:7-9)
Offering can be presented to God. (Ps 56:12)
He might walk before God in the light of life. (Ps 56:13)
Who doesn't want such shelter from God?

草戊尚土 牧師和各位俱樂部的兄姐，平安：
約押應該很聰明，他曾透過一個婦人用一個寡婦的故事讓大衛饒恕了押沙龍；約押應該是效忠大衛的親信，他曾受命讓烏利亞在戰場上身亡以便大衛奪取他的妻子拔示巴；但是在今天的經文約押卻不顧大衛的命令，冷酷的殺了大衛的兒子押沙龍，在這裡有可能是他覺得大衛是個感情用事的人，不殺了押沙龍只會造成將來潛藏的危險，當然也有可能是他自己不喜歡押沙龍便把他殺了。總之，這個人有點像『沈默羔羊』裡面有殺人嗜好的精神病理學家--漢尼巴爾﹒勒克泰博士，很難猜透他真正的想法。
親愛的主，請您讓我能成為一個言行一致的人，做人處事能遵守您的教導，不會因為一些試探而反覆無常，讓我能做您喜悅的事，而不是做我自己喜悅的事。

草戊尚土 牧師和各位俱樂部的兄姐，平安：

There are many stories about betrayal in Bible, one of which was Joab's conspiracy to Absalom's death. When Absalom attempted to overthrow David as king, it was Joab who was instrumental in defeating the coup, and it was Joab who personally killed Absalom, another of his royal cousins:
Joab said, "I will not waste time like this with you." And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them into the heart of Absalom, while he was still alive in the oak. (2 Sa 18:14)
He did this not out of righteousness but out of selfish motives. His complete disregard of David's command showed the hypocritical side of him. David should have taken more precautions against Joab.

約押是個有謀略的勇士,隨侍在王的身邊又不能不提防的政客.
違背大衛命令及心意地殺害押沙龍,拒絕亞希瑪斯想用比較溫和方式告知大衛的提議,約押不會不知道那古示人所帶去的口信對大衛所造成的刺激...咦?會不會約押根本就想讓大衛心臟病發作,他好篡位??
如果我是王,我會留約押在身邊嗎?還是如劉邦'趙匡胤那般,把所有身邊"能將"都殺光?又,我日常生活中有無這種"高風險"的習慣?約押好比利器,好用卻危險.
另外,約押看似忠心的行為(殺死押沙龍)讓大衛傷心不已,我是否有違背神的心意卻又自以為忠心的侍奉? 想-想-想!

"酒用盡了，耶穌的母親對他說：「他們沒有酒了。」耶穌說：「母親（原文是婦人），我與你有甚麼相干？我的時候還沒有到。」他母親對用人說：「他告訴你們甚麼，你們就做甚麼。」"2:3-5
我一直想,在馬利亞與耶穌相處的那麼多年間,這是第一次馬利亞對耶穌提出這樣的說法(或要求)嗎?他們的家庭中應該遇到過更大的難處,應該有比喜宴缺酒更加嚴重的事(如約瑟去世etc)呀?!
會不會是耶穌去受洗前已經告訴馬利亞--他不再是那個木匠,要開始做"不一樣"的事?
會不會是馬利亞參加耶穌的受洗之後,得到啟示,所以才放膽要求耶穌?
耶穌說:"我的時候還沒有到",意思是這個神蹟是extra,原本沒有要這麼做的嗎?
想出了一些自己也沒有答案的問題,麻煩有答案的兄姐幫我解惑吧!

我一直想,在馬利亞與耶穌相處的那麼多年間,這是第一次馬利亞對耶穌提出這樣的說法(或要求)嗎?他們的家庭中應該遇到過更大的難處,應該有比喜宴缺酒更加嚴重的事(如約瑟去世etc)呀?!

When Jesus' mom found wine was running short, she said to Jesus immediately, "They have no more wine." (Joh2:3) She probably did not intend to ask for a "sign" and was merely truly obedient to the son of God. That's why she requested the servants to do whatever Jesus told them.
Mary's act could set an example for us. Whenever we ask Jesus for help, we may have our own idea. What if Jesus has His plan for us? We should follow compliant Mary, so that things can turn out for the better.

耶穌受洗後第三天在加利利的迦拿與門徒參加了婚宴，當婚宴舉行到一半時，主人的酒喝完了，耶穌便將水變成了酒，解除了婚宴主人的窘境。我想主耶穌很重視婚姻，在婚姻出現了窘境或是危機時，懇求禱告給耶穌，祂會將平淡無奇的水變成了酒，豐富了我們婚姻的生活。
感謝主賜給我的婚姻就如甘甜無比的酒，尤其是有了 Stephanie 這個小天使後，更讓這酒更變得滴滴香醇。但是我也有親友的婚姻並不幸福，甚至像是難以入口的苦酒，但願主的慈愛與大能仍能觸摸到他們，顯現出您奇妙的神蹟，能解除他們的重擔，也能讓他們重新嚐到幸福甜美的婚姻。

After walking through the red sea where water was a threat to life, the Israelite went into the desert where water was a necessity to life. Water could kill and maintain life. Bitterness was another problem at Marah. Bitterness was hard to swallow. We would need our Lord to transform our bitterness into sweetness with a tree. The tree might symbolize the tree on which our Lord was hanged. The tree of forgiveness. After that, we might be able to camp at the springs of Elim.
