Dear JBC, Mou, and Pomelo,
It seemed that we had four members enjoying our sharing and discussion in our daily devotional club.
For me, claiming that this is the land given to us by God seemed to be very absolute and non-negotiable. Such kind of claiming that this is what God gives to me seemed to me very bigotry and tyranny. This kind of claiming was bordering upon idolatry.
Just want to share with you my personal feeling against such kind of absolute claiming...

Right, faith is a learning and growing process. Abraham as the father of faith, so his biography recorded in the scripture would be a very good encouragement to all of us.

When I studied at Trinity University at Chicago, I met one Educational Institute Director, Dr. Perry Downs, and his wife. They reared five biological children, then they also adopted up to thirty children, most of them were handicapped or retarded. My heart was touched by their love and care to those children of difficulty.

The Buddhist's predestination is a fixed non-changeable law of justice, retributive justice.
The Christian predestination is a flexible changealbe law of grace beyond justice.
The co-existence of grace and justice is one mystery of our Lord.

I was still wondering how the religion and politics could get together, or how should the two interact with each other in a way not to bring destruction to themselves and to the world.

On the mountain of Galilee, Jesus'order and vision for us is also very clear (Mt28:19-20).
Paul obeyed Jesus' command ,shared His heavenly vision and followed in His steps (Ro15:17-20). May we follow Paul's example as Paul followed Jesus' example. May we meet on the mountain of Galilee someday.
