We are sinned but by Christ's physical body through death to present us holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation, He has reconciled us. Therefore, we should not make ourselves unclean. Just because this is not easy, the Lord would like Moses to teach the Israelites in detail. We ought to keep thinking about whether there would be peace in our heart before we act.

The priest should draw near to the altar, and offer his sin offering and burnt offering, and make atonement for himself and for the people; and bring the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD has commanded.
"This is the thing which the LORD commanded you to do; and the glory of the LORD will appear to you" (Lev 9:6). Sometimes we hope to see the glory of the Lord appearing to us but we forget to act as the Lord commands in our daily lives. Then we are off the right track.

作祭司的準備工作是什麼？ 利未記八章和九1～7節清楚地告訴我們：摩西照耶和華所吩咐當行的事，召亞倫和他兒子來，用水洗了他們。膏立了他們為祭司，但亞倫和他兒子還沒有執行其祭司職務，一連七天，每天獻上贖罪祭，燔祭和搖祭作為承接聖職獻給耶和華馨香的火祭，在這七天內亞倫和他兒子不可出會幕的門，等到他們承接聖職的日子滿了，目的是要為他們贖罪，這是主要他們七天承接聖職，一直到第八日才開始執行祭司任務。祭司承接聖職的準備工夫很嚴謹，要用水洗潔淨，住在會幕內，獻上耶和華馨香的火祭,七天內不可隨意出道會幕外，沾沾污穢，準備心靈來承接祭司職分。可見神選召祂的人（牧者/傳道）的原則，必須先認罪，自潔，獻上身體當上活祭，有了的充足心靈和恩賜的準備，才投入教會/宣教禾場服事。

記住耶和華是以色列人的神；因為耶和華是聖潔的，所以祂要求以色列人也比須要成為聖潔，不可因吃在地上的爬物，吃四隻腳倒嚼不分蹄的，吃了這些不潔的動物或吃了在水裡無翅無鱗的魚，會導致以色列人被污染，成為不潔淨。潔淨的，不潔淨的要分別出來。可見當耶和華帶領以色列人出埃及，祂頒佈的這個「食物律法」時，1445BC左右（3455年前），從今天的醫學角度來看，很符合健康的原則。高膽固醇，高脂肪的食物不宜食用。真的不可思議！上帝的作為，太奇妙了！祂是全知，全能，全有的上帝！
當然，今天我們蒙召的人，生活上要聖潔，在一切所行的事上也要聖潔。因為上帝是聖潔的。我很喜愛大衛的詩。「耶和華啊，誰能寄居你的帳幕？誰能住在你的聖山？就是行為正直、做事公義、心裡說實話的人（詩篇 15:1-2）」。求主幫助我們做個討主喜悅的人。

耶和華我們神喜悅亞倫的獻祭，因為亞倫照著耶和華所吩咐摩西的（命令）去作。
同樣地，耶和華我們神喜悅我們的事奉和敬拜，每天依靠真理的聖靈，遵守祂的話，祂的命令去行，祂必與我們同在。希望我們大家在生活中，自潔，脫離卑賤的事，依靠祂，經歷祂，就必作貴重的器皿，成為聖潔，合乎主用，預備行各樣的善事（提摩太後書 2:21）。

Suddenly the Lord sent fire, and it burned them to death there in the presence of the Lord.
"Do not add anything to what I command you, and do not take anything away. Obey the commands of the LORD your God that I have given you." (De 4:2)
I read the Ten Commandments everyday to remind myself that rule.

The Lord dislikes what he does not command or mention or what does not enter His mind (Jer 19:5). Therefore, do not add to what He commands us and do not subtract from it, but keep His commands (De 4:2). Read the Bible regularly and we will likely develop a deeper instinct to distinguish between right and wrong.
