草戊尚土 牧師和各位俱樂部的兄姐，平安：
『神實在恩待以色列那些清心的人。』
其實，我想要讓自己能夠把心裡的雜念放下，應該也不是件容易的事情。
不久前小女兒的同學要到美國兩年，他的父母在家裡幫他辦了個歡送派對，小女兒看到她同學家裡昂貴的玩具（是一台幾乎和真的一樣的 ATM 提款機玩具），便忍不住要求我去買一個，當時我不知如何向女兒解釋這可能要花他老爸半個月薪水，只能先告訴她，我們想看看可不可以自己來做一台呢？
我覺得人與人開始相處後好像就會開始比較，上了幼稚園，大人比較小孩誰比較可愛，眼睛比較大，小孩比較誰的玩具比較好，家裡比較大，再大了一點就比較才藝，成績，學校，出了社會便比較薪水、工作、職位...，好像什麼事都可以拿來比較；但是一比較，心裡難免會有驕傲或是忌妒，當慾望無法制止時，便不會有感到滿足的一天。我想這樣無窮無盡的比較下去，看到有人亨通順利，或許那人不是惡人，也會因為眼紅而把他當作惡人吧。
但願主憐憫我，讓我在這樣的世代仍能學習如何清心，有智慧能判斷哪些事物是不需要比較的，保守我的心思意念，不要被世界捆綁，讓我能得到真正自由的喜樂。

Chapter 44 described the last prophesy that Jeremiah conveyed to the Jews, who still did not learn from past experiences of failure (Jer 44: 9-10) and got stuck in the mistakes such as idolatry, which went against the Lord's laws, decrees, or stipulations.
What drove Jeremiah to reminding them the disasters was probably because of the words from the Lord, "I will overthrow what I have built and uproot what I have planted, throughout the land. …but wherever you go I will let you escape with your life" (45:4-5).
When the Lord no longer endures the wicked actions and the detestable things, He will definitely exert justice. Meanwhile, the righteous will be under His wing.

Though the wicked seem prosperous, the arrogant appear not threatened by oppression, the Lord will eventually place them on slippery ground, and cast them down to ruin (Ps 73:18). When our feet almost slip and we nearly lose our foothold, be near God, the strength of our heart, since the earth has nothing to be desired besides Him.
May my heart be pure enough so that I won't envy the possession of the earth. Being unable to be free from burdens and struggles, may my confidence in God remain strong. Prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen!
