Pharaoh faced these disasters including blood, frogs, grants and
flies, but he was as stubborn as ever. Just as the Lord said, he would
not listen to Moses and Aaron.

Actually, the Lord gave Pharaoh many chances to repent his crime, but
Pharaoh could not keep his promise each time. Sometimes we made a
mistake and would not recognize it. Luckily, the Lord would give us
chances to repent our faults and would be with us to solve the problem.
But you must admit your fault first.

耶和華降下災禍於埃及，當災情嚴重，法老請摩西亞倫求耶和華使災禍離開，則法老將容許百姓離開埃及去祭祀耶和華；當耶和華聽了摩西的呼求，使災禍趨緩，「但法老見災禍鬆緩，就硬著心不肯聽他們」如此惡性循環，埃及地不斷受耶和華降災，法老一次次剛硬其心，至少有十次之多，直至埃及全地的長子被除滅，才容以色列百姓出埃及。

當上帝懲治我們，應該及早反省、認罪悔改，不要如同埃及法老一樣，心裏剛硬，使得上帝的震怒一再臨到，落入以上的惡性循環，最後必須付上最慘痛的代價。

Although seeing how the Lord exerted impact on his land, the Pharaoh's heart still hardened. Sometimes we are too stubborn to act in the way that God is pleased with because we tend to take the easy road. Moreover, some people stop their ears to the gospel.

Yet, no matter how we devise our strategy, it will be thwarted. However we propose our plan, it will not stand. That's because God is with us (Isa 8:10).

摩西對差遣他的耶和華再三陳述自己是拙口笨舌的，恐怕法老不會聽他的話。耶和華派口才較好的亞倫與摩西合作，一個聽神說，一個轉達，一起完成向法老及百姓傳達神話語的任務。由此例我們可以思想，耶和華與摩西同在，使他領受異象，而從神領受與將之表達出來，在此似乎是二件不同的事，雖則二者都很重要。
日常生活中，有時感知、領受到某些概念或話語，然而發現要將它用連貫的、滔滔不絕的口語表達出來於我而言有困難，不過聽他人表達，發現有不少人是口若懸河型，猜測他們的思想大概也很靈活。相信有些人從神領受，並有將之表達出來的恩賜。由於自己的口語表達能力有欠缺，此等恩賜在我看來非同小可。

摩西自認自己是拙口笨舌，以他的聰明學識，不知他是否是自謙，不過這個例子使我覺得能同理。

The LORD said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet" (Ex 7:1). Pharaoh was rebellious so Moses was made to play the role as God in the face of Pharaoh. Yet Moses thought he was not of uncircumcised lips, the Lord assigned his brother Aaron as his prophet. When the Lord wants us to achieve a certain goal, he will supervise how it goes and intervene at any appropriate moment.

神透過摩西宣告「我要以你們為我的百姓，我也要作你們的神」、「拯救脫離埃及人之重擔」、「帶領進入應許之地」。「摩西將這話告訴以色列人，只是他們因苦工愁煩，不肯聽他的話。」(6:9)

起因是...但法老說：「你們是懶惰的！你們是懶惰的！所以說：『容我們去祭祀耶和華。』現在你們去做工吧！草是不給你們的，磚卻要如數交納。」(5:17)

百姓初聽到摩西所傳達「神要拯救」的訊息時，以色列人是很歡迎的，「百姓就信了。以色列人聽見耶和華眷顧他們，鑒察他們的困苦，就低頭下拜。」(4:31)

這很像耶穌所說「撒種的比喻」，種子都發芽了，但並不是每一株都能長大結果，艱難荊棘會讓人卻步；「眼前無草造磚的困難」與「遙遠的應許之地」之間，真是需要如亞伯拉罕般的信心，才能跨越。

自忖沒有比以色列百姓高明多少，求神幫助我、加添我信心，讓我知道且經歷「因為那在你們裡面的，比那在世界上的更大」（約壹4:4）。

上帝要摩西希告訴以色列百姓的應許記載在出6:2-8。上帝要摩西轉達給以色列百姓的啟示中，再三強調自己是那位全知全能、說話行事都有大能的耶和華上帝，能救百姓脫離在埃及為奴的重擔，並且能帶百姓進入那曾立約應許賜給他們先祖的美地。他要百姓認識自己是那位獨一真神耶和華，並信靠他的帶領，可是百姓因苦工愁煩，不肯聽摩西的話。

可見百姓對於他們先祖所事奉的耶和華上帝及其大能的作為未有深信，及確實的認識。於是仍困在自己因苦工的愁煩中，對於藉著摩西不斷對以色列百姓招手，並明白啟示他自己正是那位不但能救百姓脫離現今愁煩，更能帶他們豐富應許的耶和華置若罔聞。

信主多年，還是常常活在老我中，沒有將自我完全降服於上帝的主權及帶領，因此多有愁煩，可說是庸人自擾。今天的經文提醒我們要放下自己的掛慮，全然交託信靠那位全能者，即使必須付出路經曠野的代價，也要忠心跟隨，則祂將會指引我們的路。

The Lord wanted Moses to tell the Israelites about the covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Besides, Moses was also required to comfort the people of Israel by letting them know God would never forsake them.

However, they did not listen to Moses because of their broken spirit and cruel bondage. This teaches us when we focus too much on our own worries, we may ignore the voices from the Lord. He may be telling us something important or He will assign someone else to convey the message.

人對神的期望是一次見效的神蹟，神對人的救贖是恆久同在的應許。

Moses complained to the Lord about why He allowed Pharaoh to do evil to the Israelites. Moses thought what the Lord should have done was deliver them from suffering. Then Moses made a big mistake by trying to play the role as God. Sometimes we can never figure out His plan. Yet we have to learn to be patient and wait for a mysterious plan to be carried out.

摩西第一次"出任務"（去見法老）的結果，似乎不如預期，反招致了百姓的抱怨，於是「摩西回到耶和華那裡，說：『主啊，你為甚麼苦待這百姓呢？為甚麼打發我去呢？自從我去見法老，奉你的名說話，他就苦待這百姓，你一點也沒有拯救他們。』」(22-23)

我個人覺得這是段很美的經文，彷彿看到一個學步的小嬰兒，跌撞地學走路。這是摩西倚靠神來做神所託付之事的第一步--摩西回到耶和華那裡，向神傾倒心中的疑惑、不滿(如蔡牧師幾周前主日講道信息)；而不是靠自己的"蠻力"試圖解決問題。

求主幫助我，不要被艱難擊敗，只要確信「這是神要我做的事」，儘管出師不利、儘管事情的發展和我的想像不同，求主幫助我能堅持到底，並且記得隨時「回到耶和華那裡」，因為在主那裡有力量、有安慰、有答案，哈利路亞！

摩西質疑差遣他的耶和華上帝對他的指示，因為效果不但不如預期，反而有惡化的現象。殊不知這可能是達到上帝完全旨意之前的一個必經的過程。上帝的眼光是遠大的，看得到未來，而我們，即使是有知識聰明的領袖如摩西，眼光常只及於目前可見的、表淺的現象。上帝容許摩西對祂的質疑，顯示他對有限的我們是多麼的忍耐及寬容。

受侷限的我們，常常測不透上帝奇特的做為，上帝憐憫，給了我們質疑及抱怨的空間，因為他深知人的軟弱。只是過度的質疑及抱怨對我們本身是有害的，所以也不可太過。

神在摩西眼前行了二個神蹟，且應許「我必賜你口才，指教你所當說的話」之後，摩西的回應是「主啊，你願意打發誰，就打發誰去吧！」(13)即便後來選了亞倫當發言人，神仍然應許「...我也要賜你和他口才，又要指教你們所當行的事。」(15)神的應許並沒有因為摩西不足的信心而收回。

摩西並沒有質疑「領以色列人出埃及」的必要性，他只是覺得自己不足以勝任該職務，後者正是神要摩西經歷的--not Moses but God！由這段歷史學習到：我們要能體會到神要做的事，並且認清、相信「我們是空器皿」，神要透過我們「彰顯莫大的能力」。多數的我們由神所領受的任務，不像摩西的那樣艱鉅，但求神幫助我能在"小事"上忠心，並且學習到每個階段神所教導我的事。

上帝給摩西的二個憑證:杖變蛇為證、手生大麻瘋為證。
摩西對上帝差他對百姓說話，回應自己是拙口笨舌的，建議耶和華另請高明。上帝回應:「誰造人的口呢?誰使人口啞、耳聾、目明、眼瞎呢?豈不是我耶和華嗎。---我必賜你口才---。」甚至向摩西發怒。
當上帝指示我們該做甚麼事，卻常常發現自己的能力有所不足，由摩西與上帝對話的這個例子我們可以看見上帝有絕對的主權，並且祂是賜能力的 神，我們應該謙卑的將自己的軟弱不足呈在上帝面前，求上帝賜智慧能力，並竭力去做，而不是選擇'逃避'這條一時之間看似比較輕省的路 。

The two miraculous signs the Lord showed to Moses are the staff and his recovery from leprosy. The purpose of showing the signs to Moses is to assure him of the Lord's continuous company in the completion of his mission.

When the Lord assigns one to undertake a task, He will definitely equip him/her with required expertise or skills. For example, before I started to develop the habit of writing the daily devotion, I was afraid that some questions might be too difficult to answer. Thank God for His opening my eyes and mind so that an inspiration or a fresh idea would always flash through my brain.

Moses didn't think he could be able to fulfill the mission given by the Lord since he was not eloquent. The Lord arranged his brother Aaron the Levite as the spokesman for him. Thus, we don't need to worry about the insufficiency of our ability. The Almighty God has paved a way for us.

一個受迫害民族的母親，一個機巧聰明的姊姊和一個貴族權勢的公主，對摩西的童年來說所扮演的角色成了真理、愛與天使，在這樣的成長過程裡成就了摩西所需要的能力與信仰。

When Moses was requested by the Lord to deliver the Hebrews out of the hand of the Egyptians, he felt awe in the beginning and then asked for help from the Lord, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt"(Ex 3:11).

He humbled himself so God assured him to intervene in many ways (3:12-22). When we are afraid, we don't need to hide our fear but bravely let the Lord know our worries. The comfort we get from Him will definitely be beyond our expectation.

摩西由一個認為可以憑著拳頭拯救族人的王子，轉變成一個自知毫無資源能力的牧羊人；神等待到這時，才"正式"呼召摩西。神就是那0000...前面的1。

「後來，摩西長大，他出去到他弟兄那裡，看他們的重擔，見一個埃及人打希伯來人的一個弟兄。」(2:11)

長大後的摩西，應該不缺乏娛樂場所，但他會到"他弟兄"那裡，而且當埃及人與希伯來人打架時，他顯然是站在希伯來人這邊。摩西知道自己的歸屬、沒有忘本，這應該由他的"原生"家庭而來。

因為求學的關係，我未滿15歲就離家了，至今30年來，未曾有機會再與雙親同住超過二個月（只有暑假較長），但父母親的耳提面命、言行示範，仍不斷地在我生命中發酵。

神在揀選摩西以先，已經先揀選了他的家庭，感謝神讓摩西的家庭勇敢且有智慧地存留了摩西的生命；感謝神在摩西被送入宮時，他家庭的期待，並不是為家裡積攢財富，而是讓摩西把"拯救族人"的可能放在心裡。

求神幫助我，在教養我兒子時，能體會到神在他身上的計劃與心意。

Moses was raised by his mom until she couldn't hide him anymore. She reluctantly put him in a basket made of bulrushes, which was found by the daughter of Pharaoh. Then due to the wit of Moses's older sister, Moses and his mom could gather together again. Moses grew, and his mom brought him to Pharaoh's daughter. He then became her son.

Moses grew up with love and care from "two moms." My grandmother and mom played an important role in my childhood. Their whole-hearted affection has raised me up as the one who has strong sense of security so I can know how to love myself and others. I really owe a lot to them.

主耶穌的復活改變了門徒的生命，讓原本畏懼承認祂的人變成勇於傳揚祂的人，並且也得到超越死亡的盼望與力量。

這樣的影響不受時空與地理的限制，讓在過了兩千多年後、隔了幾千公里遠的台灣，也能聽到同樣的福音並因著祂的復活而得著新的生命。

"We must obey God rather than men" (Ac 5:29). The midwives feared the Lord and unquestioningly obeyed His commands. Instead of killing the male children, they let them live. So God dealt well with the midwives by giving them families. Following the trend or the majority is not necessarily right. We should think twice whether what we are about to do glorifies the Lord before we act.

收生婆運用智慧回答法老，保存了民族的血脈。'收生婆因為敬畏 神， 神便叫他們成立家室'。
由收生婆的例子我們可以思想，雖然聖經也教導我們要順服執政掌權者，但若執政掌權者的意思與上帝的旨意有衝突，更重要的昰敬畏 神，雖然這並不容易。例如公務員上司利用職權要下屬蓋印以遂行其貪瀆之實，下屬就必須拿出勇氣應對，務要在 神面前保持無虧的良心，然而這麼一來可能周圍環境會聯合起來對付你，曾認識一人因此受到牢獄之災。收生婆的例子算是有不錯的ending。當我們遇到像這樣的試煉時，求神憐憫及幫助!

When Jesus first appeared to His followers after his resurrection, this was what He told them "Peace be with you!" Jesus did not defend for Himself when insulted by Pilate. He demonstrated perseverance in the face of sufferings. "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth" (Isa 53:7). While most of us are eager to defend in the face of unfair treatment, Jesus stayed calm and waited for His father's command to be realized. May I have more patience and courage to withstand every challenge in life.

「這時候，賣耶穌的猶大看見耶穌已經定了罪，就後悔...」(3)在猶大走在一大群帶著刀棒的人前面要去指認耶穌的路上時，猶大想甚麼呢？如何花用那三十塊錢？慘了，把事情搞大了？

求主幫助我，讓我做決定以先，能先思量到自己是否有能力承擔後果。

耶穌被捕後說的話實在不多，不回應毀謗的指控，但耶穌很堅持「神的兒子基督‧猶太人的王」的身份，因為這是一切的關鍵。倘若耶穌只是個普通的義人、偉人，他的死就不能救我們脫離罪的刑罰了。

「惟有基督在我們還作罪人的時候為我們死，　神的愛就在此向我們顯明了。」(羅5:8) 謝謝耶穌、謝謝耶穌。

耶穌是完全的神子，道成肉身為世人釘死在十字架上，親身體驗生而為人肉體上最極端的苦痛及一瞬間彷彿失去了上帝同在，精神上極大的孤單，乃對父上帝發出了最沉痛的吶喊:我的神、我的神、為什麼離棄我?!-耶穌也有很脆弱的一面。更軟弱的世人如我們，當面對極大的苦難，似乎感受不到上帝同在時，也可這樣與上帝對話，並思想耶穌為世人受死，祂深知我們的軟弱並且正在為我們代求。也許可幫助我們轉化自己的痛苦，定睛在父上帝更超然的旨意中。

「那領五千的隨即拿去做買賣，另外賺了五千。那領二千的也照樣另賺了二千。但那領一千的去掘開地，把主人的銀子埋藏了。」 (16-18)

主人出門前託管家業時，應該有說明自己的期待，所以前二者都以"積極"的態度來管理，第三人一開始就把銀子埋了，主人不在的時間，他都在做些甚麼呢？

當主人回來，這領一千的前來交帳前，居然還先以"不實指控"來描述主人好為自己除罪，結果被主人判定為「又惡又懶」而被棄絕。

由主人所說「...就當把我的銀子放給兌換銀錢的人，到我來的時候，可以連本帶利收回。」可知，主人在意的並不是「業績」，而是面對主人託付的「態度」。

求主幫助我，能「在不多的事上有忠心」，好在見主面時，能歡喜交帳。

The third servant thought about merely himself. He considered dealing with the money in a conservative way so that he wouldn't be scolded by the master. But in fact, he was making excuses for not doing what his master commanded.

If we ignore, waste or misuse what the Lord grants us, we will be punished for being disloyal to Him. The Lord wishes us to reap where he has not sown, and to gather where He has not winnowed. Then, we need to be vigilant and be faithful to Him in the way that pleases Him.

「民要攻打民，國要攻打國；多處必有饑荒、地震。這都是災難的起頭。」(7-8)真的有越來越密集的趨勢。

耶穌沒有說確切的時間、日期，但告訴我們關鍵：「這天國的福音要傳遍天下，對萬民作見證，然後末期才來到。」(14)

很多人認同「福音要傳回耶路撒冷，亞太與中東是最後一段」的說法；最近北非與中東的戰火，是人的奪利或撒但的掙扎（已經聽到不少宣教團隊被迫撤離）？

像使徒約翰一樣，想說：「主耶穌啊，我願你來！」但在那日之前，求主幫助我，做好主所命令的事、照顧好主所託付的人。

The famines and earthquakes in various places are the beginning of the birth-pangs. Then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another (Mt 24:10). Yet whoever endures to the end will be saved.

Heaven and earth will pass away but the Lord's words will not. Though disasters take place continually, we don't need to ask when God is coming. What we should do is watch and be ready. After all, blessed is a faithful and wise servant.

23:23 「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們將薄荷、茴香、芹菜，獻上十分之一，那律法上更重的事，就是公義、憐憫、信實，反倒不行了。這更重的是你們當行的；那也是不可不行的。

外在的奉獻（時間金錢等）是較容易做到的，生命的改變（公義、憐憫、信實等），卻是要花很大"力氣"的，感謝耶穌教導我們何為「更重要且不可不行的事」。

The scribes and Pharisees were regarded as hypocrites because they didn't guide people to kingdom of heaven but shut the door instead. Besides, they outwardly appeared righteous to men, but within they were full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Therefore, we should be reminded not to care too much about the perfectness of religious acts but ignore the compassion, love, and forgiveness valued by the Lord.

An angel once said to Joshua, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you"(Zec 3:4). A guest without wearing a wedding garment shows no respect to the host. Similarly, Christ gives each of us a garment to heaven, and it's we who decide whether to attend the feast of eternity or not.

The tone of the king in the parable seems a little bit too serious yet if the guest behaves disrespectfully by wearing the garment prepared in advance, the reaction of the king is understandable.

如果蒙恩的人看輕上帝所付出的重價，在日常生活中依舊以老我而活，那麼他的生命便無法得到改變，仍然捆綁在黑暗世界之中，也得不到釋放的自由。

耶穌比喻「王的筵席」中，第一批被召的人因各種理由未赴席，被王認定為「不配」；第二批「凡遇見的，都召來赴席」的眾人中，只有一位是沒有穿禮服的。

22:12（王）就對他說：『朋友，你到這裡來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。

王稱他為"朋友"，可見並不是因為王瞧不起沒穿禮服的人；其他人都穿了禮服來赴席，這個人是因為窮家裡沒禮服可穿？不當一回事所以沒穿？他"無言可答"，應該是自知理虧，而不是因為窮。

「被召的人多，選上的人少」是我刻在心版上的座右銘，我知道天國不缺我一個，神的筵席我原本是不配參加的，但既然有這樣榮幸被耶穌邀請了，我怎能不存著恭敬的心來等候預備見主的日子？

本來不配進喜宴的，卻因為王的恩典而能參加。就應該把自己最禮面的禮服穿上，也表示對王的尊重、對受邀一事的看重。

剛信主時，常說「主特別愛我」，曾被學姐"吐槽"：「每個人都這樣想啦！」的確，每個人都是獨特的，「神不偏待人」。

20:15 我的東西難道不可隨我的意思用嗎？因為我作好人，你就紅了眼嗎？

求主幫助我，當我有不好的（忌妒、紅眼...）意念時，承認自己只是被救贖的罪人，承認神在我生命中的主權，承認神有「隨己意分給各人」的權利。

The parable tells us that what everyone receives will be more than "fair." No one has the right to question the "generosity" of the Lord. Those who may serve long and hard should not be "envious" if others receive the same reward. Therefore, no one should serve the Lord with a commercial or mercenary spirit.

Though it is hard not to envy others for their "seemingly" greater reward from the Lord, we should keep reminding ourselves to be appreciative of what we have and to love those who are deserted and scorned. After all, it is not about seniority; everyone is equal in the Lord's eye.

「財主進天國是難的」不應該視為等同「基督徒不應該有錢」，錢財與其他神所賞賜的恩賜一樣，「為神所用」與「視為己有」是不同的。

認清金錢（恩賜）的主人，以神所喜悅的方式來運用；必要放下時，不致抓得太緊以致卡在門上。果然如耶穌所說：「在人這是不能的，在　神凡事都能。」

We cannot enter the kingdom of heaven by doing good deeds. Only by keeping the commandments will we have access to it (Mt 19:17), and this can help us accumulate treasure in heaven. Therefore, if those who are rich in the world do not make use of their treasure based on the Lord's will, it is definiately hard to reach heaven since one cannot love money and the Lord as well.

A child is native, relying on whomever s/he trusts. If we focus our attention on how to build a grand country in the world instead of on how to enter the kingdom of heaven, we may be caused to sin by temptations.

The hearts of those who are interested in the Lord's words or of those who were just baptized are pure as children. Thus, we Christians should humble ourselves to be with them instead of arguing about trivial questions like, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven"(Mt 18:1)?

While Peter is confronted with majestic Christ, he immediately offers to build three tabernacles. After the Exodus, the Mosaic Law details how the Jews were instructed to build the Tabernacle. When Peter suggests building tabernacles, he is alluding to the glory of God. Given Peter's Jewish background, his suggestion is appropriate.

The events of the Transfiguration occur just six days after Peter's great confession of Christ. Jesus from that time on begins to explain He must die (Mt 16:21). Peter's response in the high mountain shows that he is not interested in Jesus' suffering, not concerned with God's interests, but man's (16:23). He merely seeks to replicate what his ancestors have done, to build a dwelling place for God.

The Gospel of the Transfiguration offers us a great hope. We can dwell in the tent of the Lord. He invites us to participate in His Exodus in order that we might be transfigured with him, to have a part in His Resurrection. Thus, the true tent is Jesus himself, the tent of His body.

18:1 當時，門徒進前來，問耶穌說：「天國裡誰是最大的？」

「誰是最大的？」似乎是門徒們極關心的事，耶穌的解答是「凡自己謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裡就是最大的。」門徒在意排名，耶穌要的是回轉、改變。

小孩子像白紙，可塑性極大，求主幫助我，能不斷地倒空自己，讓聖靈回轉、改變我。

在我們實際生活中，哪些人是「像這小孩子」？我覺得凡比我們弱勢的就是。

17:4 彼得對耶穌說：「主啊，我們在這裡真好！你若願意，我就在這裡搭三座棚，一座為你，一座為摩西，一座為以利亞。」

彼得真是個好學生，對耶穌的教導或事蹟總是有回應，雖然不見得每次都是正確的，但這樣的學生讓老師較有切入點。

「主啊，我們在這裡真好！」真是說中了大家的心聲，住在雲端、與主同在、不受干擾，真是好得無比...但，那是將來的事。

耶穌繼續往前，完成祂的使命，門徒也是如此，願「特別的經歷」成為我們繼續前進的動力。

『一個邪惡淫亂的世代求神蹟，除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他看。』

約拿的神蹟對約拿而言是一個生命的轉變，從抗拒神的人成為順服神的人。
約拿的神蹟對尼尼微人而言是一個救贖的恩典，過去所犯的罪因著悔改而得赦免。

Many non-Christians asked me for a sign so they would believe in Him. But I couldn't share with them mine but others'. I decided to be a Christian not because of a sign shown to me but because of pure belief. It is said, "…blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" (Joh 20:29). What an inspiring verse!

有信心的人聽到這句話會很高興，因為他聽到主要賜下的是兒女的餅。
