草戊尚土 牧師,平安:
耶和華所要的禁食不是『照規定』的禁食而是『人飢己飢』的禁食,以今天的經文來看,在禁食時仍須:
1. 拋開世俗利益的追求:禁食並非圖求自己利益的滿足,更不是以禁食來逼迫別人。
2. 不與他人競爭與惡鬥:禁食時應該不能存有競爭的心態,也不能心中煩躁口出惡言甚至動粗。
3. 應當遠離兇惡,讓被欺壓的得以自由:日常生活中是不是因為自己的言行而造成別人的痛苦?或是以自己的想法壓制別人的想法呢?
4. 分手中的餅給飢餓的人:能不能將手上的財富也分給需要的人呢?
5. 將漂流的窮人接回家:能不能將仍在外面流浪的人也接回主愛的家呢?
6. 見赤身的給他衣服穿:能不能給卑賤的人更多的尊重呢?
我想這些或許也不是只有在禁食時期要注意的,而是在每天的生活中都得去實踐的。
親愛的主,但願您讓我能學習這樣的憐憫,而不是像上禮拜那位海角七號的牧師說的:『上帝,我看不到那些飢餓、漂流、赤身的人。』

What I could see from this paragraph was that our God was a God of fairness, justice, salvation, emphasizing the importance of observing the Sabbath [both as a time for rest as well as a time for worship], showing grace towards even those who was castrated and gentiles, who thought they were hopeless and helpless, who would re-assemble the scattered Israelites, who would draw near those who would repent with a humble and contrite heart, who would also judge and punish those who would insist in their sins....

Yeah, for me, this paragraph taught me that my understanding of the world was limited. There might be some realities in the created world that human beings could not understand no matter what. Of course, there were many mysteries in the universe waiting for human beings to discover, using the wisdom entrusted us by our Lord....

The suffering and praying of Hana was a very good examplar for us. Concerning dedicating our children to the Lord, I would agree that parents didn't have the right to force their children to do what they would like their children to do in their lives, even as serving the Lord. But, the parents could pray for their children, and could express their hopes and desires for their children before the Lord, yet at the same time, the parents should know that only their children could have the right and responsibility to decide how to live their lives...

Eschatology was part of the systemic theology of the Bible. Concerning the theological significance and meaning of the end times of the world, there were various different schools.
Some literal schools would try to decipher these prophecies concerning end times as real happenings in the physical world. Some symbolic schools would interpret these prophecies as parables or riddles, representing the spiritual significance.
Personally I was kind of stumbling between these two schools, not sure where I could take my stand....

Dreaming is a very interesting and fascinating human phenomenon. Many scholars tried to decipher the significance and meaning of our dreams.
Bible also has its own theological interpretations on human dreaming. Two Josephs in both the Old Testament and the New Testament experienced special dreams as supernatural revelation from God. Pharaoh of the Egyptian Kingdom also had dreams from God, yet he didn't know how to decipher and interpret these dreams.
So evidently, interpretation of the dream seemed to be more important than having the dreams.
Recently, some charismatic churches had also emphasized the importance of having and interpreting the dreams.
