The Lord says, "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves" (Ro 12:10). The three chiefs of David's might men followed David's command, going draw water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem for him. They demonstrated the spirit of brotherhood.
David, though keenly longing for the drink of water, poured it out before the Lord. He didn't take the three chiefs' offering as his own reward but thought only God deserves it. The pious attitude of David and these three chiefs is worth our learning.

草戊尚土 牧師和各位俱樂部的兄姐，平安：
我蠻喜歡喵喵信的看法，如果要我選一個聖經裡面最愛和上帝鬥嘴的先知，我大概會選摩西吧。但是如果再去看他和上帝吵什麼，那你會發現他大部分的爭辯都是要上帝赦免以色列人，我想或許要當一個好的領導者，當屬下出錯時，第一時間不是嚴懲他而是為他找到解決的方法吧。

直到今日，仍有教會主張女人要蒙頭。保羅關於女人蒙頭的論點，似乎和文化有很深的關連，對當時的社會而言，這樣才是端莊、合宜的。
在現代，我個人認為，想蒙頭的去主張蒙頭的教會，不想蒙頭的去不用蒙頭的教會，二者互相尊重就好。
曾經參加過一個聚會，講員是個長髮束馬尾的弟兄，我身旁一位香港的姐妹，馬上轉頭對我說：「男人留長髮，是他的羞辱。」我就覺得還好。
戴德生來中國宣教時，也留過長髮呀。若是當時的交通更發達，保羅有到中國，他大概會有不同的主張吧。
求神幫助我，賜我智慧來分辨文化與真理，幫助我在真理上堅持、在文化上寬容。

Paul's assertion is this passage (1Co 11: 1-16) is not to talk about the status of men and women in society. How to dress oneself or which hair style to wear had better be based on one's culture and custom in his/her country.
What Paul emphasizes here is the priority in worship. For example, Jewish women cover their head in worship while Greek ones don't. His claim is that everyone should prioritize how to unite church and keep it in order and harmony. Don't let each one's preference hinder the spread of gospel.
