In Chapter 20, Ezekiel gave an overall review of how Israel turned away from God. The emphasis is on how the Lord strives to bring back Israel and the pity that He shows to the rebellious Israelites.
Ezekiel's message is that people are to receive judgment for the trouble and sin they have committed. Though the Lord will purge those who revolt and rebel against him…(Eze 20:38), He will lead the loyal faithful ones to enter the land of Israel, when they will know that He is the Lord (20: 42).
