I could empathize your responses. But we must be very careful on such theological speculations.
What might be the feeling and response if we use such logic to comfort those who suffered from the tragic loss of their very young child?
Theoretically, death could be interpreted as the grace from God, but pragmatically, death was usually treated as punishment or desertion from God. Right?

How to handle and manage our negative emotions were a tough lessons for all of us to learn.
I loved the Psalms very much, because in Psalms you could read lots of negative emotion experiences, and how the poets responded and handled their negative emotional experiences.

We were trying to enter the mind of Judas, trying to empathize what might be in Judas heart when he decided to betray Jesus Christ.

草戊尚土 牧師和各位俱樂部的兄姐，平安：
請教了一下谷哥，他認為以精金裏外包裹皂筴木，表明主耶穌的完全聖潔。而精金及皂筴木來表明基督耶穌兼備神人二性。
皂筴木是堅實的，在這裏是預表主的人性。精金，在聖經裏是表明神的義、神的榮耀和屬乎神的一切，所以在這裏是預表主的神性。主耶穌是人，又是神；祂有人性，也有神性。（參考 倪柝聲 解經）
我的感想是至聖所與聖所應該是上帝要與人同在的地方，這裡的器皿用了精金及皂筴木來預表主耶穌的神性，放在聖所裡要與人同在，有可能也是預表著聖靈的降臨來讓我們能和天父與主同在。
親愛的主，請您幫助我，讓我知道我的身體是聖靈的殿，而聖靈也住在我裡面，透過聖靈能讓我感受您與天父的同在，請您潔淨這樣的聖殿，讓聖殿充滿您的慈愛，讓我真正明白：『神就是愛；住在愛裡面的，就是住在神裡面，神也住在他裡面。』

I was interested to compare the experience of the Israelite people and that of God's great prophet Elijah, as recorded in 1 King 19:11-12.
Yahweh was not in the wind, quake, and fire, but Yahweh revealed Himself to prophet Elijah in "the voice of silence".
Thus the Lord would choose in what way He would reveal Himself to His people and His servant....

I would agree with your observations that these stipulations would reflect the local cultural values which might differ from ours. When we approached the scripture from such perspective, we should understand that we were walking upon a thin ice. How to discern the eternal principle from such stipulations was a tough challenge to us all.

The sad story of the last generations if Israel kings. It seemed that King Josiah did't follow the bad examples of his grandpa or father. Then his sons or grandsons seemed also not to follow his good example. Thus taught us the importance of spiritual inheritance,as well as the spiritual freedom of every one soul before the Lord.

Dear all, Peng An,
I would be more interested to know the underlying motivation of those beneficient giving to the poor. One motivation might be to get fame, another might be to get even more benefit through this endeavor, the third might be to do long term investment so as to get his benefit back in heaven... The best motivation was to give to the poor because of the love of the Lord filling his heart, so that he had a compassion for the poor....

The best motivation was to give to the poor because of the love of the Lord filling his heart, so that he had a compassion for the poor....

"if he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from him." The Lord would chasten all whom He loved, but his lovingkindness would not depart from them.

Marriage was exclusive love and it seemed that in the coming age, there would be no more exclusion in our relationships.
Concerning the relationship between male and female, I don't think that it should be waited until the age to come to enjoy the equal and mutual relationship. Based upon my understanding of Gal 3:28, all kinds of racial, social, and gender discriminations would be dismantled under the cross of Christ in this age.

The Lampstand of pure gold made by Bezalel might serve the following functions:
It had branches and the bowls were to be formed like almonds in blossom. It was therefore like a tree of gold. "In Him was life and the life was the light of men" (John 1:4). We not only need to see His light, we need to walk in His light (I John 1:5-7; Ephesians 1:18; 5:5-8).
The lampstand is all gold: it is God's work. We should confess anything shined on in our conscience to Jesus Christ the Righteous, who gave Himself for our sins (I John 1:9; 2:1-2).
The priests in the Tabernacle were responsible, evening and morning, for topping up the seven lamps with oil and trimming their wicks. Seven is the number of completion. 曾經去過一個尼泊爾教會，主日崇拜時，會眾坐在泥土地上，頂上搭的是塑膠帳篷，因為雨剛停偶有水滴落下，不斷地有人進來，裡面的人只好用"挪動屁股"前進的方式（避免站起來干擾聚會），來容納更多人，在我看來那樣的教會真是鑲金又包銀，渴慕的心就是精金！
