And:留在耶路撒冷，等候聖靈的洗，得著能力，為耶穌作見證。

耶穌受難後，外在環境風聲鶴唳。門徒很緊張，麥緊栓，耶穌卻要他們堅持到底，忍耐等候7x7=49天（聖經完整之數字），到五旬節（也是收割節）。收穫節收割聖靈澆灌。但聖靈澆灌是要得能力，得能力是為了為耶穌作見證。

Jesus charged the apostles not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father since they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit before many days. Holy Spirit gives people courage, confidence, capability, and authority, which are required to undertake a task assigned by the Lord. Yet everything is to happen under the sovereignty of the Lord. Gospel wouldn't be accepted widely without His intervention. That's why patience counts in being a loyal apostle.

For throughout all their journeys the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.

I just returned from aboard. Actually, I know that the LORD always goes with me regardless of the day and night. He gave me a quiet, balanced and alert heart to cope with any difficulty.
