災難的發生總會讓人以為末世即將來到，然而只是末期還沒有到，因為這些事是必須有的，災難會讓人在愛中有盼望，就如同即將分娩的婦人，在生產的艱難中疼痛呼叫，但同時也在愛與盼望中迎接新的生命。

耶穌沒有說確切的時間、日期，但告訴我們關鍵：「這天國的福音要傳遍天下，對萬民作見證，然後末期才來到。」(14)
很多人認同「福音要傳回耶路撒冷，亞太與中東是最後一段」的說法；最近北非與中東的戰火，是人的奪利或撒但的掙扎（已經聽到不少宣教團隊被迫撤離）？
像使徒約翰一樣，想說：「主耶穌啊，我願你來！」但在那日之前，求主幫助我，做好主所命令的事、照顧好主所託付的人。

The famines and earthquakes in various places are the beginning of the birth-pangs. Then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another (Mt 24:10). Yet whoever endures to the end will be saved.
Heaven and earth will pass away but the Lord's words will not. Though disasters take place continually, we don't need to ask when God is coming. What we should do is watch and be ready. After all, blessed is a faithful and wise servant.

信仰最大的挑戰是在於無論做什麼，都要為榮耀神而行（林前10:31）。
當人所做的事情不是為了榮耀神，而是為了滿足自己的利益時，人便無法真正認識主，心中也失去愛，即使外表敬虔但卻是虛假的。
