We should give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
He does great wonders (Ps 136:4), makes the heavens (5), spreads out the earth upon the waters (6), making the great lights (7) and the sun to govern the day (8).
He brought Israel out from Egypt (10-12), divided the Red Sea and brought Israel through the midst of it (13-14), swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea (15), led his people through the desert (16), struck down great kings and mighty kings (17-20), and gave their land as inheritance to his servant Israel (21-23).
In our daily life, He frees us from our enemies, and gives food to every creature (24-25). All these doings are out of love. Best of all, His love endures forever.
