Dear all,
There were two possible interpretation for Ariel,
"There is some dispute as to if Ariel means Lion of God (the literal translation) or an altar for burning, which is a very similar word in Hebrew (used in passages like Ezekiel 43:15-16). If it is to be understood as an altar for burning, then the idea is that "The fighting and bloodshed around Jerusalem would make the city like a giant place of sacrifice." (Wolf) But, considering the context as a whole, it is best to see Ariel with its literal meaning - Lion of God." [Commentary by David Guzik]
I loved the interpretation of YuTz, "I still called her Ariel", as faithful and persistent love from God to Israel, even after her stumbling fall from her spiritual pride and empty ritualism.

Evil would crouch close to us, and awaited patiently for every possible opportunity to catch us unexpectively. [Ref. Genesis 4:7]
So evil was a fluid status, any one could become evil at any time when he/she succumbed to the temptation from the evil one.
As for God's judgment against the evil ones, we could see three possible judgments:
1. Judgment in this lifespan [Genesis 3:24]
2. Judgment in the interim world [Lu 16:25]
3. Judgment in the afterlife [Rev 20:11-12]

Yeah, how to interpret the Old Testament was a serious challenges to all Biblical students.
The literal interpretation would lead to Israelite's claim to possess the absolute and complete ownership over Palestinian lands, no matter what... But if we read the Old Testament carefully, it was clear that the ownership of the Palestinian lands didn't belong to Jewish people absolutely or everlastingly. In reality, they were exiled and expelled from the land for many decades...
Thus personally, I would tend more to interpret this as symbol for spiritual Kingdom of God. Absolute and total commitment to the relationship between God's chosen people and God was the emphasis. Anything which might get entangled and intervene into that relationship would be the cannanites whom should be completely expelled or extinguished.

I believed that among the four different sects of the Judaism world in Jesus' time, Pharisaism was the sect most close to Jesus. The other three sects were: Saducees, Essenes, and Zealots.
So Pharisees were the most religious, engaging, and compassionate group. We might say that Jesus loved the Pharisees the most, thus he critiqued them the most. 愛之深責之切也

Marriage was a very important part of our life, as well as our children's life.
But furthermost, I would say that each one must decide and be responsible for his/her decision concerning marriage.
In Genesis 2:24, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife." The leaving and cleaving was a process in which each one should become independent from his/her parents, and learn to develop the most intimate interpersonal and interdependent relationship with his spouse, whom should be his/her own choice to be the companion of his/her life.

『因為這百姓…用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我…。』似乎指著，只有外表，沒有內在的信仰生活。
『誰看見我們呢？誰知道我們呢？』似乎指著，自己深藏謀略，又在暗中行事，神必看不見。
『我必使亞利伊勒困難，她必悲傷哀號，我卻仍以她為亞利伊勒(指上帝的祭壇)。』喜歡這句話。雖然接下來的經文提到刑罰，但神卻是一開始就定意拆毀為要建造。在這麼多不信、背逆、驕傲…下，阿爸父依然愛(我卻仍以她為亞利伊勒)…。思想這句話背後的情感、信實---令我動容。

要怎樣才算惡人呢？我真的沒辦法分辨，再虔誠的人也會做壞事(可能不自覺)，惡人偶爾也有好的行為(比如對家人好)，求神保守我不要批判別人，只有神有審判的權能。

問了谷哥亞利伊勒的意思，他說這可以翻譯成上帝的獅子，或者是上帝的祭壇，但是他代表的意義就是聖殿耶路撒冷。
聖殿應該是神祝福的地方，為何還會遭到審判，我想就如 JBC 姐所說，因為那裡的靈已經沈睡，百姓們沈醉於物質享樂，只是用嘴唇來敬拜主，心裡卻遠離神。
耶穌氣絕於十字架時，聖殿裡的幔子從上到下裂為兩半，之後的聖殿便建在每個信徒的心中。但願主給我們教誨，讓我們心裡更親近神，讓我們迷糊昏睡的心也能得到明白。

還有16節"你們把事顛倒了,豈可看窯匠如泥呢?...",驕傲大概也是個大問題..
想分享一下,10節的"..耶和華將沉睡的靈澆灌你們,封閉你們的眼.."11節"所有的默示,你們看來如封住的書卷..",當我們還能由讀經當中得到神的教導與提醒,真是滿心的感恩..因為神仍眷顧.
