我想…他認為約伯驕傲吧！他從約伯的言論中，得到的是，約伯以為神行惡作孽、偏離公平，而且不明事理 、任意報應。
所以，以利戶責備約伯是喝譏誚如水，與作孽結伴，與惡人同行。
很多時候，人似乎就是這樣。以自己所認識的神為據，進而評斷別人的經歷順服、不順服，愛神、不愛神…。或許我們需要的，更多是表明『我不知道、我不明白、願神將祂的心意顯明。』

Welcome to join our daily devotion club.
Your are correct that the old testament repeated mentioned that Yahweh was God of the Israelite in many places, [ Ex.24:10, 32:27, 34:23; Nu.16:9, Jo.7:13,19, 20, 8:30.....]. God chose Abraham, and through Abraham God chose Jacob, and through Jacob God chose the people of Israelite as God's special elected people, for the purpose of blessing the whole earth through these chosen people.
God chose Israelite didn't negate the reality that God was the God who ruled the whole earth.
Please refer to the following scripture verses for your reference, [Ex.19:5, 1 Chro 16:14, 33, 2 Chro 16:9, Ps 47:2, 7, 96:13, 97:5, 105:7; Is 14:26, 54:5]

Yeah, it seemed that God tried to use various kinds of methodologies to reach our hearts.
Dream was a very interesting human phenomena. There were various theories and presumptions about how to understand and interpret our dreams.
The most famous theory might be that proposed by Sigmun Freud. Yet Bible mentioned another possible cause of our dream, that God sometimes utilized our dream as a media to convey his inspiration to us.

This story was very intriguing and interesting to me. This Jonathan, a Levite, was invited to be a priest for a family, then was forced (or did he have choice?) to become a priest to a tribe. For me the scripture said that he was happy to such move (18:20), so evidently he would go to the bigger side of a watermelon.

Yeah, Whew!!! You only put into prison my idea and sermon, and not put my body into your prison, or else, I would worry about when my head might be chopped off my neck to celebrate somebody's BD party.
I would agree that sometimes the death of some people was just beyond our comprehension or understanding.

Dear All,
Here in the Bible we read the reality of human cruelty. It seemed to me that this human cruelty against one another might be rooted in the so-called Origal Sin.
Before condemning others, we might also check into the depth of our own hearts to see whether lingering inside our hearts we were also harboring some similar dark thoughts and urges.
We all needed the redemptive and transformative grace of the cross....

ps. Last Tuesday afternoon, my mom was sent by ShuangLien Senior Home to DanShui Mackay Memorial Hospital Emergency Service due to high fever and tremors. The diagnosis was urinary tract infection with sepsis. She was treated at the Emergency Room for one day, and the second day she was admitted into the medical ward for further treatment and follow up. We praised God that her fever subsided very soon, and her white count and urinalysis also returned to normal in a few days. My wife Jean, my sister ShuTsu and myself took turns to accompany my mom and to take care of her need. Thanks to you all who would pray for my mom. God bless you
