安息日是十誡中的一誡。
安息日是上帝定的聖日。
神明明說清楚了安息日不可作工、不可生火，如有違反者，將被處死。這人不只作工，而且還是撿柴。這是直接違悖上帝的命令，也是對神權柄的一種挑戰。
但這麼說會不會是一種合理化？為什麼安息日如此重要？為什麼它會列在十誡之一？安息日是為人設立的還是為神設立的？耶穌的門徒掐麥穗吃時，耶穌說人子是安息日的主，又說我喜愛憐恤，不喜愛祭祀，與這裡有什麼關係？
既然耶穌會這樣說，是不是表示其實這個人的撿柴，沒有什麼值得憐恤的情由，純粹只是違悖命令！

"There are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning"(1Co14:10). I totally agree with Paul that to instruct others, speaking five intelligible words would be more effective than ten thousand wards in a tongue.
Thus, the prophets with the gift of speaking in a tongue should also pray that they may interpret what they say. Intelligibility counts more anyway. Tongues are a sign for non-believers but if not properly spoken, they might keep non-believers from getting to know the Lord.

The Lord is willing to forgive those who sin unintentionally whether they are native-born Israelite or an alien. "But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the Lord and that person must be cut off from his people" (Nu 15:30).
The Israelite who was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day, which meant that he despised the Lord's word and broke His commands. It was no doubt that he would be put to death. When a child is disobedient, his/her parents' anger will definitely be aroused.

From Rev (11:1-2) we can learn that the temple of God and the altar need to be measured precisely. Besides, washing the offering (Eze 40:38-39) follows the rules set in Lev (1:6-9), which is one of the important parts in the preparation of sacrifices.
When we read the details about worshipping, we have to be reminded that it is God that governs how we should worship and when His loyal people turn to Him. Even Ezekiel, a priest, has to abide by the prescriptions closely required by the Lord.

「我們被擄掠第二十五年，耶路撒冷城攻破後十四年，正在年初，月之初十日，耶和華的靈降在我身上，他把我帶到以色列地。...他帶我到那裡，見有一人，顏色如銅，手拿麻繩和量度的竿，站在門口。」40:1&3
以色列人亡國多年，但神並未忘記祂的應許，也未丟棄祂的選民，不僅如此，神也已經計畫好要作甚麼。
求神幫助我，莫因為久候而失去信心。所有陳列在神面的禱告，神都不輕忽，且會按著祂善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意及時間來成就。感謝讚美主。

耶穌對於有關舊約的教導，也有擴展與深入的詮釋：像是「太 5:38-48 你們聽見有話說、『以眼還眼、以牙還牙。』 只是我告訴你們、不要與惡人作對．有人打你的右臉、連左臉也轉過來由他打。...太 5:45 這樣、就可以作你們天父的兒子．因為祂將日頭...」舊約中上帝明顯地對以色列民族自稱為父只有一次(耶31：9)，以色列稱上帝為父只有在以賽亞書上；對個人則只有大衛(詩89)、所羅門(撒下7：14)等；但到了新約，則是凡願意藉著耶穌基督，都可以作上帝的兒女(約1：12；林後6：18)！新約時，身份高、權力高、恩典高、責任也高、期待也高--『多給誰、就向誰多要！』路12：48！
有時，祝福是有過程的！在受傷害時，乃是先到上帝面前誠實地傾心吐意、然後才被上帝轉化：大衛起初雖有咒詛，但後來都成為了倚靠上帝、將自己的恩怨交給上帝；彷彿人生所有的場景，至終都將模糊、只單單聚焦創造主上帝及祂的心意！聖靈會賜給我們天父憐憫的心腸，看見也是有上帝形像樣式之對方的流離失所，為他們祈求或效法耶穌附上代價。
