在被責備時，求主讓我從中得著生命的智慧與益處，又不致產生自卑或否定自己。

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"(Pr 15: 1). The day before yesterday I had a quarrel with my colleague. She is a Christian as well. We both raised our voice when we were arguing, which no doubt results in intense relationship between us. I'm surprised that she apologized to me today since she is much more senior to me. She quoted this verse in her apology so these words seem pretty striking to me.
I wish to have a heart of the righteous for "it weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil"(15:28). It does take wisdom in communicating with others.

Jehoshaphat king of Judah highly respected the Lord in his life. He appointed judges in the land and ordered them to serve faithfully and wholeheartedly. As a leader, he learned from the Lord when and how to use his power.
In the situation against the odds, he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. He led his people to stand in the presence before the temple that bears His name. When calamity came upon him and his people, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, he always remembered to give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever.

約沙法王「引導民歸向耶和華─他們列祖的神」、「囑咐他們(官長祭司們)說：『你們當敬畏耶和華，忠心誠實辦事』」、遭難時「定意尋求耶和華，在猶大全地宣告禁食」、戰爭前及戰爭後「用極大的聲音讚美耶和華以色列的神」。
約沙法真是有心地引領百姓歸向神，不是只有表面，而是以身作則。強敵壓境之際，王禱告說：「我們無力抵擋這來攻擊我們的大軍，我們也不知道怎樣行」，百姓豈不嚇破膽？但王接著說：「我們的眼目單仰望你(神)」。
約沙法與父親亞撒同樣遭遇強敵，亞撒轉向亞蘭王求助，硬是撇棄曾幫助他的神，約沙法不只自己倚靠神，還帶著百姓俯伏在神面前，此舉真是極其謙卑的表現。
還有一點，「約沙法既與民商議了，就設立歌唱的人，頌讚耶和華...」(20:21)，表示約沙法是一個尊重百姓的王。

前人遇到了問題，上帝提供答案、就為我們留下了生命豐富的教導、安慰與方向！
Freud詬病那些只想在教會中倚賴他人、不為自己負責的基督徒。「帖後 3:10 若有人不肯作工、就不可喫飯」，應是不錯的原則。
願上帝帶領教會！

One problem of church is how to impact the world, but not to leave the world. This is why Paul wants the believers to keep original jobs and work more hard. I think we cannot always dream the future beautiful paradise, but we can co-work with Jesus to do current job being perfect.

I think there is no grey area for truth. If we want to follow Lord, we have to clean all enemy in mind. It is not easy to do it, and it also will become a big war in your mind. However, this is only one way to find the truth.

"If a man will not work, he shall not eat"(2Th 3:10). Paul launched a warning against idleness among Thessalonians. He mentioned that they should not wait but do nothing to wait for the Lord to come.
Besides, he encouraged them to keep doing what is right. In all, everyone ought to live a responsible life—laboring and not being a burden to others. May the Lord direct our hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

很羨慕保羅所為帖撒羅尼迦教會的禱告中的「願我們的神看你們配得過所蒙的召」。(1:11)
無論神所量給我的境遇是甚麼，求主賜給我"努力"的心力(太11:12)，幫助我能配得過所蒙的召。
