"Put to earth, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature; sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of this, the wrath of God is coming"(Col 3:5-6).
Virginity was highly regarded then. A married woman who did a disgraceful thing would be charged. Any man who slept with a woman other than his wife would be severely punished. These sins led to broken marriage. I believe in modern life, Lord still detests any sin that will deteriorate the relationship between a couple.

哈巴谷是因為"盼望"而歡欣，「然而，我要因耶和華歡欣，因救我的 神喜樂。主耶和華是我的力量；他使我的腳快如母鹿的蹄，又使我穩行在高處。」(3:18-19)
用"信心"所領受所的"盼望"，能救人脫離悲慘的現況。正如使徒保羅所言「這至暫至輕的苦楚，要成就極重無比的榮耀。」痛苦與歡欣並存，只是後者能讓身歷其境的人承受苦楚時較"甘願"一點。

Dear All, Peng An,
"Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity."
We said we are not belong to this world. So, it is easy to understand all is vanity in this world. However, this world is also created by God. There are lots of beautiful scenery and wonderful things in this world. That means we can find His Love in this world. If His Love can be full in this world, then this world will be His kingdom. Just like the Lord's Prayer: "thy kingdom come，thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." This world will be vanity and His Kingdom will come.

「傳道書作者認為有那些事情是虛空呢？」應該是"全部"吧！
作者不缺財富、智慧，卻覺得虛空，換個角度想：或許人還是要有"缺乏"、要有"可以做得更好的努力空間"才不會覺得虛空。

Faced with famine, Habakkuk still rejoiced in the Lord. How difficult it is for whoever suffers to be joyful in God. Most of us complain or murmur in the face of trials.
Habakkuk said, "…I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come…"(Hab 3: 16). He showed no fear and his courage came from God his savior. May I have patience to stand still in any tough situation since the Sovereign Lord will always be my strength.

According to Solomon, everything is meaningless (Ec 1:1-11): wisdom (1:12-18), pleasure (2:1-15), wisdom and folly (2:12:16) and toil (2:17:26).
Ironically, these are what I'm pursuing. I don't give priority to building up relationship with the Lord. Solomon shared with us his life story with us and hoped that we would not make the same mistake as him.
