A wise man builds his house on the rock while a foolish one builds his house upon the sand. Whether the foundation of a house falls or not depends on what it's based on.
The Lord's words solidify the foundation of our life. He tells us not to judge or to be a hypocrite. Do to others what we want other do to us. Open our ears to his words, evildoer or the wicked wouldn't be able to beat against us.

看書想著祂、吃東西想著祂、走路想著祂、工作想著祂……這樣不真的很像在想男朋友、女朋友嗎？

That they weighed out as my wages thirty shekels of silver (Zec 11:12) means that Jesus is sold at such a lower price. Thirty shekels of silver is the amount of money for the owner of a slave who is killed by a bull (Ex 21:32) and it is also the amount of money Judas gets when he betrays Jesus (Mt 27: 3-10). Priceless Messiah is sold. How sarcastic and insulting!

Birthright might have been very important at that age. Esau should have been informed of his duty or responsibility as the first child by Abraham and Rebekah, but probably he wasn't so he took the birthright lightly.
As for Jacob's behavior, I was stunned by his "creative idea." Why did he consider that birthright could be sold? He didn't cherish brotherhood and would definitely suffer the consequences due to his sly act.

The interactions described in Song of Songs are so vivid that readers can easily associate the scenarios with their relationship with the Lord. For example, "with great delight I sat in his shadow, and his fruit was sweet to my taste" (So 2:3). The fair lady must have felt strong sense of security when she was with her beloved one. "O that his left hand were under my head, and that his right hand embraced me"(2:6)! I guess Solomon once experienced true love. Otherwise, how could he write in such expressive words?

The Lord once told Abraham that to his descendants He would give them the land in the Canaanites, so Abraham asked his servant to take a wife for his son from his kindred and from his father's house. In fact, Abraham shouldn't have worried so much. Now that God has a plan, He will make it carried out. Besides, Abraham could have let Isaac know about the promise from God. As long as Isaac learned that there would be a grand plan for him, I believe he would try his best to stick to it.

Queen Vashti refused to come at the king's command, so King Ahasu-e'rus was enraged. His anger burned within him but when his anger had abated, he remembered Vashti and what she had done and what had been decreed against her.
The Lord teaches us that a quick-tempered man does foolish things (Pr 14:17) and stirs up dissension (15:18). May I be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry! Prayer in the name of Jesus~

Abraham was honorable enough so the Hittites allowed him a burying place in their sepulcher. Yet Abraham didn't want to own it for free but rather paid the full price to Ephron. He could have bargained for a better price. This shows that he is not a person who asks for what he doesn't deserve.
