Manna was given to the Israelites as their food. "Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot, it melted" (Ex 16:21). They were not allowed to leave part of the manna till the next day unless the day of solemn rest was coming.

Manna symbolizes what the Lord offers us in our daily lives. There will be always enough for us to rely on so we don't need to gather more than we need. Besides, God wants us to take a complete rest on Sabbath. Follow His command, and we won't be disappointed.

"The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him" (Ex 15:2). We might have the experience that the tune of certain worship songs hums continuously around us all day long after we hear them the first time. The lyrics of these songs may happen to remind us of something we should be aware of in our daily life. Music bridges the gap between the Lord and the mundane world.

The LORD is my strong defender; he is the one who has saved me.
He is my God, and I will praise him; my father's God, and I will sing about his greatness.

Faithful to your promise, you led the people you had rescued; by your strength you guided them to your sacred land.

We must often keep in mind what is God's grace and thank for His help.
Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.

Israelis worried out what Egyptians pursued them and they might die in the wilderness.

Moses said to the people, "the LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be still." And Israelis saw the great work which the LORD did against the Egyptians, and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses."

Keep in mind whenever the LORD does not give up us, as footprint in the beach.

The Israelites were afraid to be caught by the Egyptians and they might thus die in the wilderness. Ignorance of the existence of the Lord led to their worry about the future.

Moses comforted them by saying, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD……The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be still" (Ex 14:13-14). Later, after Israel saw the great work which the LORD did against the Egyptians, they feared the LORD and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.

Moses must have felt intense pressure in leading a large crowd of non-believers in the Lord but he made it. Not only the Israelites but also Moses thought the journey tough. Yet, never let the fear of striking out get in our way. The LORD is watching us in the pillar of fire and of cloud and will definitely save us from the hand of our enemy.

For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the LORD slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both the first-born of man and the first-born of cattle. Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all the first males who come to birth; but all the first-born of my sons I redeem.

And Moses said to the people, "Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage, for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place." This rescue is not only physical redeeming but also soul redeeming.

It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he slew the Egyptians but spared our houses.

This grace also covers every foreigner who would believe the LORD.
Thanks the LORD kindness.
