對我而言，要真正認識神是很困難的事情，這位神不是我所塑造的神，也不是牧師或是聖經所塑造的神，而是自有永有，是昔在、今在、以後以後永在的全能者，祂的浩大很難以我的有限來認識，尤其是在現實主義的世界，要能褪去有色的眼鏡來認識祂的同在更是困難，然而這卻是十誡的第一條，你不可有別的神，無論是在苦難或是順遂，健康或疾病，貧乏或是富足，黑暗或是光明，無論是在何時何處，除了我以外，你不可有別的神。

The Lord wished the Israelites to treat their slaves in a humane way. The Hebrew slaves should not be regarded as the possessions of their owner; instead, in the seventh they shall go out free, for nothing. Bible admits the existence of slaves but never encourages slavery.

18:24 於是，摩西聽從他岳父的話，按著他所說的去行。

摩西真是個性謙遜的人，又或許他一直想改變而不得法，葉忒羅還真是摩西的"貴人"，不只接待了最落魄時的摩西，更給了他這般寶貴的意見。

有些事情，神好像沒有發表意見，反倒是藉著人來指正我們，好有趣喔！

The Ten Commandments:
1.You shall have no other gods before me.
2.Do not make for yourselves imagines of anything.
3.You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
4.Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
5.Respect your father and mother, so that you may live a long time in the land that I am giving you.
6.Do not commit murder.
7.Do not commit adultery.
8.Do not steal.
9.Do not accuse anyone falsely.
10.Do not desire anything that others own.

Actually,I have stuck it in my notebook and read it everyday.
I hope the LORD can help me follow all the commandments in my life.

I used to be ambitious, doing multi-tasks in a single day. Yet being too busy distanced me from my family members. As time goes by, I have changed, learning to live a slow-paced life. I labor in week days, but leave most of the weekend to my family members. Contentment replaces the hectic mind. Most importantly, the seventh day is time for going to church. I really enjoy the moments of peace and freedom then.

The LORD did to Egyptians and He carried Israelites as an eagle caries her young on her wings, and brought Israelites to Him.
Mark a boundary around the mountain that the people must not cross, and get ready for worship.
We must make more holy to the LORD in our minds to give up old ourselves and then approach Him.

The Lord told the Israelites why there were chosen was because they shall be to Him a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Not because the Israelites had done something significant, they would be trained strictly as a symbol of being blessed shown to the world. Then "nations will come to His light, and kings to the brightness of His dawn" (Isa 60:3).

Jethro rejoiced in God's goodness and offered sacrifices to Him (Ex
18:9-12). He also taught Moses how to administer justice to a large
group of people (Ex18:13-24). To Moses, he was a true friend as well as a mentor, an example of excellence in in-lawing.
