We should not weigh houses and wealth too much since they are inherited from parents. Instead, prudence is highly valued. Though a man may be poor, as long as his walk is blameless, he is able to be considered rich.
That is, whether one is rich or not is not determined by the wealth but by the knowledge he has. Above all, whoever can listen to advice and accept instruction, he is wealthy in the eyes of the Lord.

Dear All, Peng An,
It is not easy to understand why the godly father cannot have a godly son. Sometimes, we also found one pastor's son become a criminal. I think the problem may be from the problem relationship. If we have a close relationship with God, we should also have a close relationship with our children. If we have learnt a lot from God, our children should also can learn a lot from us.
However, it is also not easy to understand the opposite result: one bad father can have a godly son. Sometimes, we also can find one criminal's son become a pastor. I think the problem should be from the re-birth. If God can chose us (a sin man) to be His Son, we should agree to accept the re-birth possiblity for others.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
I think if God is our father, then the scripture is like HIS letters to us. By those letters, we can understand what HE wants us to be and what HE wants us not to be. Eventually, HE wants to save us from the internal war with HIS love. May Lord help me to keep your words in my mind.

「希西家登基的時候年二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母親名叫亞比雅，是撒迦利雅的女兒。」29:1
二位好王的共同點，應該是都有「敬虔的母親」。當時的國王，這麼多妃嬪及孩子，主要的影響多半來自母親吧？！

認得主的聲音。
約翰福音10：1～5「我實實在在地告訴你們，人進羊圈，不從門進去，倒從別處爬進去，那人就是賊，就是強盜。從門進去的，才是羊的牧人。看門的就給他開門；羊也聽他的聲音。他按著名叫自己的羊，把羊領出來。既放出自己的羊來，就在前頭走，羊也跟著他，因為認得他的聲音。羊不跟著生人；因為不認得他的聲音，必要逃跑。」
如果不讀聖經，就無法認得主的聲音，也不知所跟隨的是誰。
