The story occurring in the village called Emmaus shows that the two disciples of the Jesus had little confidence in what they should have believed in. They paid too much attention to their own disappointment and unfavorable situation so that they could not see the significant meaning of the resurrection in human history.

The resurrection surprises a lot of people nowadays. Even with the testimonies and a bunch of evidence, many people still refuse to accept the fact that God is living and faithful.

If we only focus on our broken dream and failing plan, we'll never meet Jesus. May God give me considerable courage to recover whenever failure strikes me. Prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen!
