[和平教會 草戊尚土靈修俱樂部] 三年讀經默想與題目 (草戊尚土) 090527有新意見。

Yi-ting 已針對您的文章「三年讀經默想與題目 (草戊尚土) 090527」留下新意見:

That Adonijah set himself up as King should owe partly to his father David because King David had never interfered with him by asking, "Why do you behave as you do? (1Ki1:6)" The pious David was used by God to lead his people but there was something wrong with his family relationship, so a leader who is faithful to God will not necessarily produce superior offspring.

Besides, Adonijah sacrificed sheep, cattle and fattened calves at the Stone of Zheleth near En Rogel and thought he was anointed (1:9). In fact, religious rituals cannot replace God's order. After all, Adonijah was not the one selected by God. No matter what rituals he performed, he was not able to change God's will.

After Adonijah's evil plan failed, he was afraid of King Solomon and clinging to the horns of the altar (1:49-50). If he had pleaded for God's will, he would not have fallen into such a miserable situation. On the other hand, Solomon's dealing with Adonijah showed his wisdom and generosity (1:52-53). Sometimes forgiving others' sin is much wiser than taking revenge.
