Though Azariah and Johanan said, "Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, (Jer 42:6)" when Jeremiah finished telling them all the words of the Lord their God had sent him to tell them, they got irritated and pretty angry. We can see they asked for God's words but were not obedient enough to obey. Never pray to God against our own intention. God is unable to be cheated.

Unless we are willing to be changed by God, keep our plans modifiable, praying to God makes no sense. Obedience is a lesson we have to learn.
