Dear all, Peng An,
There were many possible hermeneutics for this theme. FuChun's hermeneutics was what we called spiritualization. But many Israelite people and Christians would take this theme literally, and they took this passage as a certificate for them to drive out all Palestinians from the promise land. Personally, I could not agree with such literal interpretation.
