The Lord appeared to Solomon twice, answering his prayer and plea. What He said echoed the charge David gave to Solomon, "…observe what the Lord your God requires; walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go…If your descendants watch how they live,…you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel" (1Ki 2: 3-4).

God is faithful, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands. So, when we feel God is slow in keeping His promise, we should not complain but asked ourselves instead whether we do love Him and obey His commands…
