Asaph turned to God for courage when he was restless (Ps 77:4). His restlessness was derived from his doubts about God (77:7-9). But from verses 13-20, "I" doesn't occur anymore. He switched his attention from thinking about himself to praising and worshiping God. For example, "You're the God who performs miracles…"(7:14).

When Asaph didn't doubt the pureness and solicitude of God, his anxiety disappeared. Thus, when we pray to God, God wants us to focus our attention on Him, instead of on ourselves.
