When Peter was kept in prison, the church was earnestly praying to God for him (Ac 12:5). This act had a substantial influence on the result of the event. Praying is indeed powerful, so we should pray with confidence often.

Yet, even though we pray with confidence, sometimes we are still just not sure whether our prayer will be answered. That's why people said the servant girl was out of her mind in telling them, "Peter is at the door!"
