Shaving one's head and beard is symbolic of bitter grief. The Lord's commanding Ezekiel to take a set of scales and to divide up the hair was to attract the attention of the people in Judah dramatically.

Conveying the Lord's message in such a dramatic and creative way would leave an indelible impression on the disobedient people. This inspires me to think about how to spread gospel in a more subtle way that can appeal to or touch more people.
