Jerusalem built mounds at the head of every street and made their lofty shrines in every public square (Eze 16:24-25). These detestable practices angered the Lord, so that He compared Jerusalem to an adulterous wife. The Lord is faithful so He wishes His people to be so. May I be loyal enough in following him without swaying easily. Otherwise, I am to give payment and none will be given to me.
