Paul defended himself with wisdom by complimenting King Agrippa (Ac 26:2) in the very beginning. Then he identified himself with one of the Pharisees that persecuted Jesus. Through his lively experiences of encountering God's mercy, he comforted the audience and was set free.

His upbeat attitude won him life. He softened the hearts of the rebellious by sharing: "But I have had God's help to this very day, and so I stand here and testify to small and great alike…"(26:22).
