Manasseh King of Judah and Amon King of Judah did evil in the eyes of the Lord. Fortunately, their descendant Josiah heard the words of the Book of the Law, reflecting on the past of Judah and decided to follow the words of the Lord. God then promised him that he would be buried in peace and his eyes would not see all the disaster ahead of him (2Ki 22: 20).

God is fair-minded and embraces a sinner who is willing to repent. Josiah changed his attitude: his heart was responsive and he humbled himself before the Lord, tore his robes and wept in His presence (22:19). The Lord must be waiting for me to be responsive…
