When the Lord inflicted punishment on Egypt, those rebellions would know that He is the Lord. For example, "Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help" (Eze 29:16). Egyptians would be desolate among ruined cities (30:7) and would be dispersed, scattered among nations/countries… (26). The Lord would strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh would fall limp… (25).
