Though the number of able fighting men in Jeroboam's camp was double the one in Aijah's, Abijah won the battle. The key lied in his confidence in the Lord and he had strong faith in the covenant of salt.

Abijah asked Jeroboam not to fight against the Lord, the God of his fathers, for he will not succeed (2Ch 3:12). He was confident that he could win the support of the Lord since he and his people did whatever pleased Him.

If I can live a life in the way God is pleased with, I am more likely to stand still when I face a tough challenge like the one Abijah confronted.
