The Lord would like us to know how easily each of us will turn away from Him provided any of our acquaintances have such inclination.

Those who have an inflated ego will say to themselves, "I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way." But it is impossible for them to invoke a blessing. Instead, their hardened heart will invoke disasters.
