Freedom and discipline can coexist in spreading the gospel. Paul said he enjoyed the greatest freedom but couldn't be refrained from the Lord's sovereignty. For the sake of gospel, sometimes good stuff, concrete or abstract, should be forsaken so as to win as many people as possible.

Paul reminded himself not to run the race for the prize; instead, each of us should pursue the crown that will last forever. During the strenuous process, keep humble so as not to make full use of our rights as a preacher of the gospel or be disqualified for the prize.
