Dear all, Peng An,
It was very interesting reading all of your comments and responses concerning the comparison between Reuben and Judah.
We got scanty information in the Bible concerning the inner motivation of their actions, so we could only speculate with humility.
Though Judah seemed to be more covetous than Reuben, but God decided to choose the tribe of Judah as the origin of the Messiah, rather than the tribe of Reuben.
