"He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandal s I am not worthy to untie. (Jon 1:27)"
John himself even did not claim he knew Jesus Christ: "The reason I am baptizing with water was that He might be revealed to Israel. (Joh 1:31)"

At this turbulent age, people are seeking sense of security. We, who have heard about the gospel, have the responsibility to introduce Jesus to others because only Jesus can meet their needs. That's what John did at that time: "I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God. (Joh 1:34)"
