Solomon asked for a discerning heart to govern people and to distinguish between right and wrong instead of long life, wealth, or the death of his enemies. Yet God gave him what he had not asked for—both riches and honor.

So if we seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness, and all will be given to us (Mt 6:33). But what is noteworthy is that Solomon sought wisdom but did not ask God to fulfill those tasks for him. God would like us to accomplish missions in the world. Thus, we should just ask Him to give us courage and wisdom to perform tasks well like the wise ruling given by Solomon (1Ki 3: 16-28).
