The author of Psalm 94 pleaded the Lord to pay back the proud since they poured out arrogant words and did what was seen as evil in the eye of the Lord. The Lord opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (Jas 4:6); thus, we may as well have confidence in Him. He never ignores the cry of the afflicted, and the evildoers will be humbled in the long run.
