Jerusalem's detestable practices include making idols (Eze 22:3-4), treating father and mother with contempt, oppressing the alien and mistreating the fatherless and the widow (7), adulterous affairs (10-11), and priests' profaning holy things (26-28).

According to the Lord, this city is "infamous," full of turmoil (5). "As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted inside her… "(22). God takes note of everything we do. His anger will be "poured out" if we go against Him…what a harsh punishment! May myself not become dross (19) in His eye~
