Joshua's name was Hoshea the son of Nun, of the tribe of Ephraim. Yet Moses called him Joshua (Nu 13:16) and that is the name by which he is commonly known. Besides, Joshua son of Nun, appears several times in Holy Scripture (Ex 33:11; Nu 11:28, 14:30, 26:65, 27:18, 32:12, 34:17; De 1:38, 31:23, 32:44, 34:9; Jos 1:1).

There must be more reliable evidence but that's what I can come up with.
