The meaning of Paul's teachings on women and marriage has been the subject of endless controversy, especially in modern times. I think his primary focus is "let everyone lead the life which the Lord has assigned to him, and in which God has called him"(1Co 7:17).

He explains further that his, or anyone else's circumstances and choices do not apply to everyone. It depends on the calling, the mission.

"Each one should remain in the situation which he was in when God called him"(1Co 7:20). May I be able to listen to God's calling and know what my mission is. Prayer in the name of Jesus!
