The Lord sets the bow in the cloud as the sign of the covenant between the earth and Him. When the bow is in the clouds, He will look upon it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth and so will we.

The bow can be easily discerned by everyone. Once in a while, after the rain comes the rainbow, which symbolizes hope.
