Each time when I wrote my emails or letters, I would like to start with a greeting, Peng An.
Peng An might refer to inner serenity, or outer harmony. The former might be related to what psychoanalytical school would say about our inner struggles among our Ego, Id and Superego. The latter would be more broad and complicated in our relationship with ourselves, our neighbors, our enemies, our environment, and our God...
Shalom was more than the lack of war or conflict. It had a very abundant and extravagant meaning of harmony, happiness, growth, enjoyment....
Peng An to all three of you... my beloved company on our shared spiritual journey....
