Jeremiah, as a prophet, industriously conveyed God's messages to his fellowmen, but they turned a deaf ear to such "unpleasant" preaching. God asked him not to get married and not to mourn or show sympathy in funeral meals. He had to live a life isolated from society, so he must be lonely. But I believe God would always shelter him, as what Jeremiah prayed, "O Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress,…" Though the cost he paid was huge, he could live under grace without being put to shame.
