When the widow was in bitter disappointment, worried about death ahead of her, she did what Elijah said to her without hesitation.

It is not easy to have full confidence in a stranger. Elijah obeyed God's order so God performed miracle on the widow, giving her sufficient food and saving her son's life.

We live by faith, not by sight (2Co 5:7).
