「這殿後來的榮耀必大過先前的榮耀；在這地方我必賜平安。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」(2:9)
後來重建的聖殿似乎都不及所羅門王時代的聖殿，所以這裡的應許，指的是否就是主耶穌呢？
無論如何，將來新天新地聖殿的榮耀，肯定超過地上建築的億萬倍，每次想到這...，一則喜、一則憂。
喜的是，在主裡的盼望；憂的是，我有沒有過著討神喜悅的生活。（我不要將來在門外哀哭切齒啦！）

"Two are better than one." I think the purpose is to implement the commandment from Lord, that he who loves God should love others also. To love others is not only love yourself, you have to life up the others if they fall. Love cannot be perfect when you are alone. Love needs to be shared with others. Because God is love.

Dear All, Peng An,

欺壓人的人（oppressor)或許會良心不安，或許不知道自己正在做惡，若有人能幫助他想改變（得救恩），他可能不會再去傷害他人了！

The Lord highlights the importance of marriage so He is pleased to see each couple living happily and peacefully. Everyone is intended to share some part of his/her life with his/her soul mate instead of living in isolation from people.
Regarding the service in church, we'd better work with a team rather than alone. "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up"(Ec 4:9-10).

After we rebuilt the relationship with God, we will have a new understanding about God. God is not a stranger. God is our heaven father. With this new relationship, we will confess for the bad thing we have done to Him. We will also appreciate for his kindness and grace to love us even we did not love Him before. Then we want to change ourselves to be a good testimony to glory Him. May Lord keep my mouth to praising You and Your Love in my life.

"… But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love….By day the pillar of cloud did not cease to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take"(Ne 9:16-19).
Fasting, confessing the sins, praising the Lord, and asking for pardon…This is the cycle that some Christians repeat. So we cannot only look at the tender side of the Lord. He is pretty strict with His children.

"But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. "
To know what is evil is important for us, because we will corrupt ourselves if we cannot differentiate between good and evil. If we do something which we think they are good but actually they are evil. Then, we will leave God eventually. To know God is only one way to understand the difference between good and evil. Otherwise, we only do what we want to do and think they are good for us. May Lord help me to keep walking with you to avoid the evil.

To know what is evil is important for us, because we will corrupt ourselves if we cannot differentiate between good and evil. Indeed, the human tend to follow their own evil desires especially when surrounded by the disbelievers. What we should do is learn the lesson from history and build ourselves up in the most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
It is not easy to be merciful to those who doubt. But upon thinking of the sinned self, no one can be free from falling without the Lord.

Empathy is one great gift for human being from God. We can try to think as we were at a different position to understand their feelings. However, we don't want to use this gift because of our selfish. We think our position are better than others, especially better than poor guys. So, we cannot change our position to others. But I think how to treat poor guys can reflect his relationship with God. "Because you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. "

ANS:Charity 是聖經很重要觀念。應用在現在稍微有點複雜。我認為基本上我們可以做的有二：１不用詭詐待人或欺負人 ２待人厚道。至於主動幫助人，我主張要有智慧，譬如在鬧市看到路旁有外觀非常可憐的人，全身躺在地上乞討，或於餐廳吃飯進來賣文具的人，要不要幫助？我傾向不回應。

ANS:Charity 是聖經很重要觀念。應用在現在稍微有點複雜。我認為基本上我們可以做的有二：１不用詭詐待人或欺負人 ２待人厚道。至於主動幫助人，我主張要有智慧，譬如在鬧市看到路旁有外觀非常可憐的人，全身躺在地上乞討，或於餐廳吃飯進來賣文具的人，要不要幫助？我傾向不回應。

To enjoy in our work is to enjoy in current moment. We cannot know what will happen in the next moment and we also cannot recover what has done in the last moment. The better way is to enjoy current moment and do perfect for our work. It is also one way to glory our Lord.

"The city was wide and large, but the people within it were few and no houses had been built."
After we rebuilt the relationship with God, we may find there were a lot of ourselves problems. And those problems may break the relationship with God again. To minimize the impact of those problems, the better way is to increase more goodness fruits in our mind. We can review our daily words, behaviors and minds to keep the good ones. It may be helpful to enhance our relationship with God.

Toil is meaningless. But I don't think God wants us to live without hard work. He hopes that we don't live in pain and grief. God is the one who can offer us food or enjoyment as long as we don't sin.
There is a time for everything. The Lord lays burden on men so that they can gain from his toil. Though we may not fathom what God has done, we will revere Him accordingly. If we believe that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it, we are more likely to take life easy.

"No man has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us."
I think it is one hint to find God, even we cannot see Him. God live in people who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And this commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should love others also. This agape love is one mystery and also one amazing grace for me.

I think the purpose of the law for sex relationship is not to punish people, but to understand the meaning of love. If you love your husband or your wife, you will not violate those laws. If you love God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and all your mind. You will not have any room for those evil ideas into your mind. May Lord help me to have this love in my mind forever.

Virginity was highly regarded then. A married woman who did a disgraceful thing would be charged. Any man who slept with a woman other than his wife would be severely punished. These sins led to broken marriage. I believe in modern life, Lord still detests any sin that will deteriorate the relationship between a couple.

Faced with famine, Habakkuk still rejoiced in the Lord. How difficult it is for whoever suffers to be joyful in God. Most of us complain or murmur in the face of trials.
Habakkuk said, "…I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come…"(Hab 3: 16). He showed no fear and his courage came from God his savior. May I have patience to stand still in any tough situation since the Sovereign Lord will always be my strength.

According to Solomon, everything is meaningless (Ec 1:1-11): wisdom (1:12-18), pleasure (2:1-15), wisdom and folly (2:12:16) and toil (2:17:26).
Ironically, these are what I'm pursuing. I don't give priority to building up relationship with the Lord. Solomon shared with us his life story with us and hoped that we would not make the same mistake as him.

When we want to rebuild the relationship with God, one reality problem is how to handle money by following God's pleasure approach. The answer is not easy to be found. When we want to find the answer from brothers or sisters, it may cause lots of confusions. Because, sometimes, we will follow the world not follow our Lord. So, we have to find the answer from Lord. Nehemiah was angry that some of the Jewish people, who were nobles and officials, took advantage of their countrymen by exacting usury. "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it"(1Co12:25). He suggested giving back to the poor immediately their property and also the charged usury.
We should be well-informed, "He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses"(Pr 28:27).

To understand the fellowship with Jesus Christ is one critical turn point in the life. However, the difficulty is to do (walk), not to know (hear). God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. Thus, we cannot shun the punishment from our sin. I dare not say, "I know him" since I do not do whatever he commands. I have to admit that my spirit is weak though my flesh is willing. There must be a huge gap for Him to build up fellowship with me.

For an unsolved murder, the Lord requires that it's everyone's responsibility to figure out the case. Above all, the elders of the town nearest the body and the priests shall step forward.
All cases of dispute and assault should be settled. The Lord doesn't want His people to be guilty of the blood of an innocent man and the bloodshed will be atoned for. He emphasizes doing what is right in the eyes of Him.

我有點不太明白，好像並不是「不知者無罪」，即使是「無名屍」，若不做潔淨的步驟及澄清的禱告「我們的手未曾流這人的血；我們的眼也未曾看見這事。...」還是會有災禍臨到。
或許這是為什麼很多受災者看起來很無辜，有可能就是被別人犯罪所連累。罪的權勢真的很大。求主保護、提醒我們。

"For lo, I am rousing the Chalde'ans, that bitter and hasty nation, who march through the breadth of the earth, to seize habitations not their own."
God will not erase all bad men or bad things in the world. On the contrary, God will raise those men and things for His purposes. I believed the purpose is to glory God. Just like the light in a dark room to make things become clear. Follow this light, we also can check ourselves is clean or not.
May Lord help me to find out my problems from outer others and from inner Holy Spirit.

In our world, it seems difficult to say "I am wrong" especially it is not my fault. We like to say "you are wrong" because I am better than you. But, when we said "we are a world" or "we are a family", it seems we could not merely say "you are wrong". Because we are a family. We need learn to say "I am wrong" or "we are wrong". This prayer is rich in sincerity and concrete ideas. That's what I should learn while praying.

The righteous will live by his faith. The Babylonians betrayed the Lord and would definitely suffer punishment. Sometimes it takes patience to see them fail since the revelation to a prophet awaits an appointed time.

The process of rebuilding the relationship with God is not always smooth. It will suffer lots of attacks from the world. The most terrible attack is to impact the rebuilding process by silence. No one can know or see this attack and stop the rebuilding work by himself. One solution is to become a group to make up the blind sides from others. May Lord help me to be a member of one group to help myself and others against the attacks from the world.

But however tough the task would be, as long as the laborers worked with their heart, the Lord would surely frustrate their enemies' plot (Ne 4:15) and fight for them (4:20).

"First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."
To be a prophet, he needs to be very honest to God's words. If his words are not from God but from himself. I think this prophet should be one false prophet. However, the problem is how can we understand their words come from God or himself? I think this needs the power of Holy Spirit which can have the same understanding. May Lord give me the wisdom from Holy Spirit which can understand your truth.

Jesus Christ is our refuge. However, the purpose of this refuge is not helping you to escape or hide your problems. On the contrary, you have to face your problems with Jesus Christ in this refuge. 1. 基本上我同意它豫表耶穌是我們的庇護所。
民數記35:28得救的殺人者要留在庇護城，住在其中，直到受膏的大祭司死了，以後殺人的纔可以回到他所得為業之地。這裏的大祭司明顯豫表基督，祂為我們的罪死了。
2. Cities of Refuge 應翻譯為庇護城較佳
3. 庇護與犯罪重視動機是聖經給我們很人道的觀念
4. 從司法觀點，庇護城的設立有點像今日設備良善的無期徒刑監獄
5. 但庇護成在今日技術上難行。是否為誤殺很難確認(用測謊器?)，且沒嚴重處罰如何給人警惕，避免誤殺別人。譬如，砍樹之前要清場、戴安全帽等。

如果有一個人作假證，陷害另一個人，

I think the purpose of marriage is to enrich our life with mutual love. The love is not from external appearance but from internal spirit. It is not easy to show this love in today's world. ANS:今天的問題也是很難回答。
民數記35:6-8 你們要給利未人六座庇護城，讓因過失殺人的人可以逃到那裏求庇護。此外，要給他們四十二座城，連城周圍的草場，一共四十八座城。每支族應給利未人多少城是根據他們土地的大小決定的。
約書亞記21:1-3 利未各家族的族長們去見祭司以利亞撒、嫩的兒子約書亞，和以色列各支族、各家的首領們，在迦南的示羅對他們說：「上主曾經藉著摩西傳下命令，要我們擁有些可居住的城，還要有草原可以牧放我們的牛群。」因此，以色列人就照上主的命令，從他們自己的土地分配一些城鎮和草原給利未人。
利未人明明就有分到48座城，還有周圍的土地可牧羊。無份是指不能分戰爭勝利的戰利品，特別是分土地；無業是沒產業。

I think what God concerned is the relationship with Him. So the one who has been selected by God to be the leader of his belivers should have the most close relationship with Him. 今天在網路上看到這篇主日講道集，然而，在屬靈功課中提到："撒但也會引用上帝的話"，但在第四點又提到： 耶穌在這裡這樣回答牠：「人活著不是單靠食物，乃是靠上帝口裡所出的一切話。」（路4：4）聰明是上帝給的，所以要感謝上帝，在使用聰明時，不要只是單單靠聰明，而不去倚靠上帝，「你要專心仰賴耶和華，不可倚靠自己的聰明，在你一切所行的事上都要認定他，他必指引你的路。」（箴3：5-6）
其實，我感到疑惑的是，要怎麼做才算是"倚靠上帝"?
每天生活中，總會遇到難過、開心或是複雜的情緒等，但是在當中，上帝與我們同在嗎?而試探與對於經驗不足的我，又要怎麼清楚區分魔鬼的"試探"與上帝的"試煉"呢?而又或許"試探"與"試煉"是一體兩面呢?

"Master, which is the chief rule in the law?"
And he said to him, "Have love for the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest rule."
And a second like it is this, "Have love for your neighbour as for yourself."
To marry with unbeliver is a challenge to follow the first and second rule in the same time. If he only follow the first rule, then he may loss the second rule. The only way to solve this problem is "Have Love". May Lord help those people with Your Love to belive Love and belive You.

花了三個月，才清點登錄完與異族通婚的總人數，可見通行之普遍（祭司、利未人和一般百姓皆有之），而且其中很多都已經生養了小孩。壓根不知道這是罪？明知故犯？
求主幫助我，檢視我的日常生活，到底有多少是"習以為常"其實是得罪神的事？

The king of Artaxerxes was opposed to the rebuilding of the temple since he was afraid that there might be rebellions rising up in Jerusalem. Later, the prophets Haggai and Zechariah were involved in fostering the rebuilding work. However difficult the task was, the eyes of God over the elders of the Jews were not stopped.
When king Darius' ruling came, he issued an order not to stop the rebuilding of the temple based on the archives stored in the treasury at Babylon. How God will work is sometimes beyond our knowledge, but what can be sure is that He is always sheltering and leading His people in a caring manner.

財物及麻吉，對血氣方剛的青少年（or任何年齡層）來說，真是很大的誘因。
「我兒，要聽你父親的訓誨，不可離棄你母親的法則；因為這要作你頭上的華冠，你項上的金鍊。」1:8-9
應該早早念《箴言》給小朋友們聽，像打預防針一樣。
小孩把父母親的話當"聖旨"的時間很短，求主幫助我，能儘量將正確的價值觀加給小兒，並活出令他羨慕且願意效法的生命。

Dear All, Peng An,
It needs to take a long time to make someone to really believe one thing from his mind. Especially, he did not believe it in the beginning. God can spend 40 years for Israel people to believe his promise. The problem is how long I can stand to wait for God? If I cannot find the promise land, I will give up or keep believing this promise? If I need to fight with giant enemy, could I have the courage? May Lord help me to firm up my faith without any hesitation.

當時以色列人那樣的反應，不知是否和「西門彼得看見，就俯伏在耶穌膝前，說：『主啊！離開我，我是個罪人！』」(路5:8)一樣？看到神的大能，心生敬畏而自忖：「像我這樣的人，在神面前怎能存活？」
神並沒有責備以色列人這樣的反應，而是藉著摩西傳達「...惟願他們存這樣的心敬畏我，常遵守我的一切誡命，使他們和他們的子孫永遠得福。」(5:29)求主保守我及我的家人（特別是我的孩子）敬畏神的心，好教我們生活起坐言行受神約束。
