Dear all, Peng An,
This was a very interesting inauguration sermon delievered by Jesus at the synagogue of Nazareth.
People loved to hear what they would love to hear. People usually responded with anger and rejection against what they would not like to accept.
So when Jesus talked about the good news of grace and mercy, people would respond with praise and happiness.
But when Jesus mentioned about God's mercy showered to outcase people, and skipped chose ones, people responded with hatred and even became murderous.
Jesus's first message consisted of both promise of blessing as well as warning of judgment.
Let's learn to listen carefully to both kinds of message with gratitude and repentance.
